Dark Souls Coming to PC

It is highly believed that it is coming to the PC and i think that if it is, it is a smart idea for console gamers to get it on the PC as well and you can just use the controller if you prefer. I would definitely get it for PC, I see it as the forming of console communities and the addition of PC players. Seeing as not everyone has both a xbox and ps3 but everyone has a computer.

But not everyone has a high end computer... I know my computer wont run the game. And spending about 200 dollars in a graphic card plus the game is almost the price for a ps3 or xbox and the game...
I dont know... This tread could become some sort of a system war.
Sigh... Actually i wouldn't care about a pc port. What I wouldn't like is that the pc version would have extra content and the only way to get it would be getting the pc version.

I really don't understand the dread around the idea of a PC version. So they mod it or play it with a keyboard. Nothing they do will affect how we play or enjoy the game on consoles, and the game would reach what is easily at least double, if not triple the current market it has. There are alot more PC gamers looking for a challenging experience than there are Xbox or PS3 players, and the worst that could happen with more sales is...well, FROM makes more money faster and we get improvements to Dark Souls faster or a new Souls game faster.

True what Reaperfan said I'm definitely going to try it out when it releases if it does and I'll make my opinions then.

remember that you can get usb>PSX / XB360 adapters so that you can use your beloved controllers in PC titles aswell ..... if keyboard/mouse is not your style

if keyboard/mouse isn't your style it's cheaper to have a console though?

My computer lags when I played Minecraft, it will NOT take Dark souls.
(however I did up the cards, it was so awesome being able to finally put everything on 'Max' with no lag, but I didn't buy a better power supply so back to the old ****. )

Remember that this games runs on directx 9 compatible hardware!!! however there could always be some gotcha with processor/memory requirements from porting... but I doubt it

I agree with serious here, what's the point of paying upwards of $1000 for a good gaming computer and then just using an xbox controller, thus effectively making your computer an overpriced xbox. I'm not against a PC port, I just don't see why anyone would ever want to play dark souls with a keyboard and mouse...

its true, with a good port you could easily run this game on a computer worth about £400 tops

That's hilarious, because I've only had a PS3 and no computer for years. It wasn't until recently that I got a laptop and that's why I joined this forum. I don't think this computer could run Dark Souls, either...
And there's man, many, many others who cannot fend for themselves in this argument because they currently don't have a computer and accessing sites can be rather bothersome on the PS interface.

Although I won't attempt to protest a PC port. Doesn't matter to me. I'll just be pissed if that's the announcement as it does nothing for me. Getting my hopes up for squat.

^ That's the point. I am not against a pc port at all. All the contrary... Even knowing my computer won't run the game. But i do want that more people try the game that has driving me nuts the few last months.
Although, I don't want that the announcement is just the pc port either. And it would be worst if it comes out polished and extra content because they had more time for such improvements.
To me that would be a major let down, because I would feel that I was left with the unfinished version in BOTH consoles.
What I do expect is probably the pc port with the extra content and that extra content for us console players as DLC so we all finish having the same game...
Although to make it fair... That extra content should be free for us... Hahahaha ... After all we already paid full price for the game...
Bottom line: there is always going to be something to brag about.

I would guess a straight PC port with no extra content besides being 1.05 off the bat.

I would be VERY surprised if it was anything else (EDIT: maybe a patch), especially PC only content or DLC seeing as they made the statement before release that no extra content would ever be released for the game because it's complete (which I agree with).

If my PC can run it I'll probably get it. Then I could play DkS or Diablo (when it comes out) w/out bogarting the TV from my gf.

Huh.. We should make a seperate form or something when they come here everything will be... Stupid namco, they will learn their lesson when dark souls gets more pirated copies then original.

Yeah I think is just the DLC thing. The souls series was made by console gamers and now it like Namco wanted to trade items and is now saying "Thanks for the free humanity there punks" and Black Cystaling the hell out of there.

Not everyone has a good computer to play games and plus 3 new bosses is not really worth 60 bucks to me.

My Comp will lag if I play Minecraft!, It will overheat just trying to load the menu of Dark Souls.

I could probably play it but i wouldn't be the same....CURSE NAMCO for bringing Artorias into this and then telling us he won't be coming to consoles! YOU FIENDS!

I'm buying a new computer anyways. Hoping to Christen with Dark Souls if the PC version is worth it.
