Help out a noob

I have not played since like 3 weeks after release. I made it to Anor Lando(sp?). I am now looking to get back into it and have been trying to find info on either a Dex/Fai Laito or a Str/Fai Great club build. Most of the info I have found seems to be a few months old and I want to make sure the builds haven't changed much since then. Also looking for recommendations on which build to go with and what starting class is best.

If you're looking to use a buff, then you would put point into Faith (30min to use Sunlight Blade) and the other MAIN stat would be either DEX or STR. Iaito scales with DEX, great club with STR.

With B Scaling, 40 should be enough or might be overkill depending on who your talking too.

The rest of the stats you'll spread out among END (40 in my opinion), VIT and ATT for some spell slots.

That calculator should be stickied or something. It's really helpful. Also PPG I'm making low endurance builds (<30) and they are pretty good if eat the Green Blossom. Now I use stamina for equipload only.

heh, that's why I said it depends who your talking too. For my low level builds I of course sacrafice END, but from the 120 level i always hit 40. One toon even has 51, but that was for a very specific equipment burden.

My rationale is stamina and the ability to dodge can be worth more then health in many situations and when you see an good opportunity I always want to know there is enough in the tank for that hit that could be fatal.

if you want a str/fai build, always start with cleric, try these two; on the first one youre good with 28 str cause you dont really get much more ar after that specialy while two handing any weapon, 27 2h-=40 str. the second one is my paladin leeroy build which for an sl 120 doesnt hit that hard but you can always use the great club and with slb and if you 2h it you can do about 1k damage(same with the first build).

Thanks for the suggestions, I also read that with dex weapons 40 end is not really needed? Any input from the experienced with this?

From my experience just assign end points according to your equipload.
