Reputation is a means of identifying helpful or original, thought provoking content. It gives the community the opportunity to recognize people when they add something of value. We are tinkering with the wording of the default "Reputation" because that may not be the word to encapsulate the spirit of the system.

The reason why I asked in the first place is because up until now "reputation" was a nebulous cloud that I was not sure what it meant for the mods/admins and the rest of the community. I was starting to think that if I got my "rep" to +9 I would have a "White forum tendancy".
