Borderlands 2 thread

This thread is for the discussion for everything to do with Borderlands 2

In regards to pre-orders, will pre-ordering the normal edition of Borderlands 2 net me the Premiere club bonus, or is there a special edition I have to pre-order?

YES, finally a BL2 thread!

Personally I will be pre-ordering the most expensive edition I can, just for the sake of it. It's a shame they didn't listen to the user suggestions and include a psycho mask though.

I havnt been keeping upto date with BL2, even tho its 1 game im excited about. When is it due out?

Only a few months to wait guys, are you going to get it for PS3?
I'll be getting it for PS3, and would be happy to play it with anyone on these forums, though first I plan on doing a full 4 person playthrough with my mates, like we did on borderlands. I called dibs on Zero

Something that made me remember, Roland was black in the first one, do you think that makes zero black in this one?

Reviving this thread with what, to me at least, is new Borderlnads 2 info:

There are to be three editions of the game - The normal one, for around $50, the special one (Which comes with a Marcus bobblehead), for $100, and the extra special one, which is packaged in a red loot box, which costs a whopping $140 roughly.

There is also a new class to be added in DLC, which comes free for any pre-order. This is the technomancer, who is a robot/girl android hybrid, and owns a terrifying pet "death"trap.

That's all so far, stay in tune for more!

I'll be getting it for PC, I guess. I'll be using either Zero or Salvador. Probably only get the standard edition cuz I'm cheap. Are there 3 classes (axton, salvy, and zero) with the technomancer added later or is there a different char in the original four (in the trailer) and a fifth character added later?

You forgot Maya the Siren she can phase lock instead of phase walk if that means anything

I will probrably get the game for the Xbox because my PC sucks. I will probrably play as maya Phaselocking looks cool plus I already played as a Soldier.

I enjoyed the soldiers ammo regen and turret ill do the same in this game probably wont get it till Christmas tho

Yep, I believe he gets the same general skills in this game as the first, but with a better turret.

Another thing, it appears the technomancer may not be added upon release date, but as DLC a considerable amount of time afterwards. Pre-orders still get her free though.

The customisation options are vast according to many reports, with hairstyle, skin colour, clothing, and full suits all able to be changed, with more being unlocked by the player as they progress through the story.

oh, I forgot to say I really look forward to this game, also it comes out just before/after my birthday so I'm hopeful to get this to distract me from my studies then

Same here, the thrill of finding a new weapon always draws me back to it.

Borderlands combined my two favourite things in video games: Killing things with rediculous weapons, and fat lootz.

You are all talking as if you will only play 1 toon! I played all 4 in BL and i guess i will play all in BL2.

I played all four, and have them all at level 69 now. I just like to select which character I'll be playing first and will most likely put the most work in to.

Yup, I actually started charting via handwritten spreadsheet my rares and pearls. I got to farming Crawmerax so much that I was walking away with with nothing new by the end. And still it was so much fun to see him explode into piles of loot.
