Shadow is a form of reflection of the dark from an object;
A reflection of dark is shown for those who stand in the light.
Without light, their would be no knowing of dark;
dark would be seen as the dominant light, with the dark being void.
So with every aspect of light, dark must be there as well.
One can not exist without the other, otherwise their will be no sight.
No object, no form, can exist without sense, without sight.
Sight would become dull, and man would be blind.
Form would become obsolete in the void.
We survive in the dark and light, so we can see the right path.
Neither blinded by a white light, or a dark void.
The path is clear, and the way is open for those who can take it.
That is the way of the sun;
That is the way of the dark.
Welcome to the user Covenant, Darkness and Sunlight.
The aim of this covenant is simple and general: To become a nexus against the abusers of the flame of disparity; To help those using the flame of disparity.
The Abusers are easily identified: Beings who use the time distortion of invade and infect other worlds to bring harm towards us. The Darkwraiths and Darkmoon invaders are a primary target for the covenant, in which they become a nexus of drawing in invaders and removing them from play again and again, until they finally fall from failure. Such beings such as the Gravelords, Dragon Servants, and others who invade with the usage of invitation are not a primary target, although are not shown mercy in the face of combat when accepted.
To help others is to give them different aspects of things. One, is to support them as phantoms, helping those in need of travel and defeating enemies within an area. The other, is to help bring disparity across the world and show them what it means for the flame to exist, in this case the power of the Gravelord. Different means of help comes from this covenant, and is their to enlighten those who are willingly able to walk the path of success against challenges, with either the adaption of a follower from this covenant with light, summoning a phantom for means of support; To see the aspect of the dark, being infected with dark beasts that make the road harder yet rewarding in the end.
Their are many aspects in which will be told at the bottom of this for all to see. if you are interested, read further to see. As it follows the sunlight and darkness, and not that of chaos, uniform will be stated for those to follow. Welcome, once again, to the aura of Darkness and Sunlight. The use of chaos and other aspects that are against the Sunlight and Darkness are frowned and forbidden to use, although their is still plenty of inventory for those to use and have. As the flame of disparity was relit for the war against of chaos the second time, and has cursed the land of Lordran for everlasting time distortion of never allowing the hollow Gwyn to fall without the proper rite, followers of this covenant will wear a curse to show their selflessness and the potential to what the chaos flame represents.
The Faithful, The Intelligent, and the Flame
This Covenant is designed for those of the faithful, although it does not discriminate against those who are of intelligence as well, and more so accept those who follow it that not. Those of the faith should know that this user covenant uses covenants within the game that use faith, and their for should try to be those of the faith as well (although their is one that does not necessarily need it, the sun covenants require a good amount of faith for good use).
Of course, it does not mean that those of the faith can use all spells. Such spells of Havel and the Way of White, who are of fear and against the dark, are miracles that are against the aspect of the dark, as they fear its potential. Some such as Havel even fear it, as those of the dark are usually a hive for such creatures as the Dragons, as well as those of selfishness.
Intelligence is also allowed, although with a bigger backlash. All spells are available, however the catalysts are not. Such catalysts as the Logan and sorcerer catalyst are not available, however such catalysts as the tin banishment and the Beatrice catalyst are.
Last, but not least, is the flame from pyromancy. All except for the chaos flames are allowed in use, as the chaos is what this covenant is against, and the use of it is not acceptable. However many of the spells of pyromancy is acceptable, as it does tie towards the flame of disparity.

Covenants to Use
Their are many covenants in which are designed for the interaction within Lordran. For those who join this covenant, their are a few in which many will have to join, in which three can be stated are the primary source for those to join.
The Warriors of Sunlight and the Princess' Guard are those of the Sunlight specific players, created to use either the offensive or the defensive proportions of faith, to either restore the health of many or to remove the health of enemies. Both being support of sorts. The aspects of both covenants being an aspect of sunlight and their use of powerful miracles are required covenants to join if one does not join the third covenant.
The third covenant, being that of the Gravelords, are the specifics of darkness, for those specific players to join the dark. Built to help bring misery with the power of darkness and the time distortion, an aspect created from the flame of disparity, the Gravelord are to darkne the path for those unlucky enough to become infected by their influence.
All three of these covenants, although separated by the aspect of darkness and sunlight, are not all different. those within the covenants allow all three to help those within another beings world, although the Gravelord is armed with tools that are not as restrained to those of the covenant as those of the sunlight. All three are designed to help those of Lordran, as well as bring misery. All players can attract invaders and abusers of the first flame to destroy them and make a clearer path for others in Lordran, helping fight against those who use the Time Distortion for the benefit against their own man. Thus, Dried Fingers would be a recommended choice for those to use.
Of course, not all use of invasion is removed from the those within this user covenant. They may be able to invade those with the use of a red soapstone sign, using it to become accepted into a dual against those willing to die, instead of becoming invaded and hindered from the path by the abusers of the dark, the sun, and in general the first flame.
Weapons to use
Although many weapons are still available, their are still many that are removed from the aspect of use.
The basic weapon to remove from use are the ghost weapons. Weapons designed for those who have been cursed by the dark, the use of such blades would be a somewhat discrimination against the many who have died by the flooding and the spread of the Darkwraith vermin.
The use of notched weapons from the thorn knight or the exiled king are weapons used by those who follow chaos, and are frowned upon. Even more so, the use of chaos weapons in general is frowned upon, as they are weapons of the chaos flame and chaos demons, which are an enemy of the Sunlight and Darkness covenant. With it, any demon weapons that were forged are not acceptable, with the exception of the Demon Spear, as they are not demons of chaos. The Izalith catalyst is available for use, as it was created for the use of the flame of disparity, and not for the chaos flame.
All divine weapons affiliated with the Way of White, including the grant and the crescent axe, are not allowed to be used at all in any case, as they are weapons designed by the way of white. The mace and morning star, weapons that may or may not be actually just affiliated with the way of white, are acceptable for use.
The weapons that are most prized by the Covenant are the Curved Swords, being affiliated by the Gravelord Nito (Gravelord Sword) and the Primordial Serpents (Server). Although slow in cases compared to a smaller weapon, their stunlock and potential to destory enemies with the leeching of life and the toxic impulse against enemies is an aspect of the Dark, which is prized by the covenant. Weapons of the light such as the giants halberd and the dragonslayer spear are also accepted and recommended for those within the covenant as well.
Such weapons that the covenant would like to see, although not necessary:
- Server; Sword of the Glutton Dragons
- Gravelord Sword; Sword born from Nito
- Man-Serpent Greatsword; Sword of a Butcher Serpent
- Butcher Knife; Sword of Butcher Women
- Shotel; Weapon designed for the use against cowards
- Dragonslayer Spear; Weapon designed with the power of lightning, aspect of sunlight
- Giant's Halberd; Weapon used by the guardian giants of sunlight
- Flamberge; Greatsword designed to Flay Flesh
The Dark sword, a weapon of the Darkwraiths, is not available for use; The Darkmoon Catalyst, talisman, and Bow are not available for use. The use of havel weapons and the stone weapons are unavaliable, due to the relationship to the way of white being graspable.
Uniform of Darkness and Sunlight
This covenant is designed for also one aspect that many might see odd, although is logical. As the covenant is designed for the use of the flame of disparity for the good, as well as the selflessness the covenant is designed for, those who join must curse themselves with an egg of chaos. Why? The aspect of the first flame being relit after it was distinguished the first time was against the chaos flame, built in reaction when the age of dark first began, leaving the witch of chaos without power. As time distortion disallows the ability for anyone to fix it without possibly the proper rite, or maybe never for any to fix, all must wear the egg of chaos out of selflessness and pride.
This means that all are affected and burdened with this, one they join this user covenant. The aspects of the egg of chaos has its own cons and pros. The cons being that it subtracts the souls you gain by a half, although the other half goes to the egg (explain later). The other ones, although more so minor, are the factors that the use of helmets and a somewhat weakness to fire is added as a problem (although many will probably not notice the damage that fire does when having the egg).
The pros, being that the other half of the souls goes to the egg, in which it grows. Residing in the egg is a demon of chaos, which symbolizes what the chaos flame has done to man, replacing and damaging the body of man with beast. Your kick will be replaced by a larva attack, which is a tad slower than a kick, although does damage and has a longer reach and staggers. The egg will grow in size for every hundreds of thousands of souls absorbed by the player, and even more so millions. The egg does not stop growing, and continues to grow again and again as more souls are absorbed.
All beings of this covenant will wear this egg of chaos, until an actual ending comes to play for the time distortion, which has disallowed any such ending to actually happen and influence the world.
Armor in general is of free range, although their are a few such armors, such as Gwyndolins, Dark Armour, and the Dragon body (unfortunatly) that are unable to be used. Even more so, such armour as the exiled king, knight of thorns, and havel the rock are unavailable for use, as well as stone armor (due to influence of way of white and chaos flame).
For those who Join, I welcome you. Their is not much ranking in this covenant, similar to that of the princess' guard and the way of white. However, such influence of becoming part of this covenant and bring the name of the dark and sun to everyone's minds is enough of a reward, and will possibly make yourselves famous for all to see in Lordran as warriors of the sun and dark. For those who see these rules and accept these terms, welcome.
For those who join, such events such as wars against other covenants, the potential of fight events for those within the covenant to fight one on one in arenas across Lordran, and other such ideals as trade are also allowed for players to have. When more people join, the more their will be such events that will happen. When it becomes higher, such potential of matching people in pairs for PvP and PvE times in Lordran may also surface if may be, and will become more organized.
