Which one of those two does more damage? I don't care about stagger, range, or anything, just pure damage.

If he ever made it to Firelink before you killed that poindexter, Griggs would have that spell to sell. Not sure how the events unfolded in your world, but just worth a mention, I thought.

I would say the soul spear. If you have the ring that boosts magic damage or any helmet that boosts magic than the souls spear will do tons of damage. I use it myself when it comes to facing bosses and pvp. Another strong one is the crystal soul spear.
