Extra Character Slots?

Hey,


Any tricks to getting new character slots?

I was thinking of making a secondary PSN account, but I don't think that will do the trick. Anyone have thoughts on a work around?

I have 15 diff chararcters. I dont know if it will work with the ps3 since I have and xbox but I have a flash drive that I use when starting the game so that I dont have to pick the main harddrive and it gets me 10 extra slots

Whoa. Seriously? I got tons of flash drives....

So when you boot the game you get to select what drive to read off of?

I'll google around and see what kind of options I have for the PS3.

This sucks. Maybe with the DLC they will expand character slots.

The flash drive idea should work. If you move all your game data to your flash drive and then delete it off your PS3's hard drive there's absolutely no reason you wouldn't be able to create new characters.

With Demon Souls you weren't able to copy the save files. I haven't tried with Dark Souls. I will try tonight. But I'm sure the same locks will be in place. It's not uncommon for some games to block save file transfers. Save files can be edited and 'hacked'.

That's unfortunate on so many levels.

Ohh my bad I for got to mention what PlasticandRage said. I cant copy save files but I can transfer them to other flash drives. And xbox also has cloud storage that we use to rotate saves.

You should be able to create a new PSN account and just log in w/ that one for more slots.

A new Psn account works that's what I did.

So...would that mean if I used my bro's Login, I could play his characters and vice versa?

Or that I could play with my own characters from someone else's PS3?

I think the save file would still need to be on the machine you want to play on PPG-3-.

The extra account makes it think you're a different player and therefore deserving of your own save data. Perhaps if you have Playstation Plus and have the save data synched you could log on using someone else's machine actually.
