Is there a good ending?

It really seems you're being screwed over in both,

Maybe I'm interpreting the endings wrong, but neither seem all that great.

I think it's more what you choose to believe. If you believe Kaathe is good a true and such things as those, Dark Lord all the way. If you believe Frampt is correct, Link dat Flame. Personally, I think Kaathe has a good point but I don't trust his motives, whereas at least Frampt is open about his allegiances and doesn't hide in the Abyss with humanity sucking fiends. It's actually quite similar to the ending of

, in that in one option you break the cycle and in the other you begin it anew.

I go with Link the Fire personally, I believe Kaathe is wrong and evil, and that Frampt has questionable motives but a good goal. Also, I've seen in some description (can't recall, don't quote me) that Undead fear the Flame. At the same time, though, I know they like Est, which is collected at Bonfires. Meh, choose whichever you like, uncertainty, or a somewhat imperfect world.

Thats what I like about this game, there is no clear good or evil, Its all opinion and morales, just like real life.

Dark souls is so deep when you get into it...

yes, Both endings are good, if one has played the King's Filed Series or Shadow Tower Series or other games made by From Software, the endings can be appreciated, ie they are all anticlimactic.Similarly to having the last boss being easier than earlier places in the game, From Software seems to like to do this. The "Good "Ending is better on Dark Souls.
