If they're gonna make a 'war' simulator, they should at least do it properly and make a political statement out of it.

Are you sure that image is allowed here? There is a naked child in that image, which in certain areas could be an incredibly illegal picture.

And yeah that was actually something I was thinking about the other day when watching some footage of Exit Wounds in Max Payne 3. I wonder when games will get to the point where playing Shooters is just disgusting and scary.

That would make me actually interested in shooters, though people would probably cry foul and have it taken off the shelves for being too shocking :|

Yeah I'd probably play them a bit more as well, of course I'd mostly play more Styled ones like TF2, but I would like to sort of see the horror and experience a simulation. It would be a bit fascinating really. Sure I would probably be disgusted and depressed, but it might do me some good to see just a tiny fraction of what others have seen.

The last time I remember that being done there was a massive **** surrounding it. "Seven Days in Hell" or something. It tried to be a simulation of a big battle in Iraq, I think.

I think thats what homefront was trying for but failed to do as bad gameplay got in the way of the message.

What might be interesting is a medical simulator, working as a medic in a battle. My Grandfather has some scary stories about that work in Nam.

Maybe look at WarCo. Its about being a war journalist.

On a side note a shooter that I think will put up a good message is spec ops the line I was reading about it in OXM (that is official xbox magazine for you PS3 boys) and every decision you make has a consequence. In one part you have the option to drop napalm on your opponents (who are your fellow soldiers) and they would be screaming in pain asking why making you wonder why you did this in the first place. I look forward to it.
