All I've seen is the release video showing them both at Firelink. They seem cordial to each other. My guess is that just like us they ran into all sortsa people from different where's and when's. It just so happens their worlds oberlapped at some point. Also check the archives on Oscar. He got around. My best guess is he is like I linchpin for Lordran in that he's intended to overlap pretty much everyone's world.

Oh where do I begin lol. Nah we dont know exactly how they met but we do know they worked together for a bit. We also know that they had the same goal of infiltrating the painted world to steal the occult ember. Oddly enpugh they didnt work together in Sens fortress so while they were in lordran together it appears they workied separately..

Never really thought about it but it's an interesting question. Then again we don't have a lot of info on the two from the game's lore. Hard to really say, maybe just chance meeting or they shared a common goal.

Well, if you think about it, Lordran has the uncanny ability to bring people from different backgrounds together. For example, the player makes good friends with Laurentious regardless of where the player is from. Basically, Lordran is a big melting pot community.

i guess i do. i actually did a little research and read all the description on most of the items and other stuff but not much though. right now all im doing is farming for sor and holy crap is it boring.

The way I interpreted it is that they may have been searching for answers just as the player character does/should. It's quite possible that they're setting out to topple the gods - perhaps having been given this goal by anastac(s?)ia because she seems to be sitting around the bonfire with the two knights as if they may have been conversing... prior to her being put behind bars and (possibly) having her tongue removed for speaking out against the gods (as the crestfallen warrior hints)!
I'm also going to go out on a limb and say that the they may have split up looking for one of the bells to ring each?
