Don't Xbows not scale?
And look at all the occult vs Divine arguments, the upgrades AR ends up essentially the same for swords and such, but you have to increase the Phys damage with Bolts so Divine (which provides more phys damage) would be better.

Re: Full Dragon Archer Build Help
+15 avellyn, that might be a good idea, i've always gone with lightning +5 because there are lightning bolts but since pure physical damage IS better, i might try that out too

Re: Full Dragon Archer Build Help
but lightning bolts would just unnecessarily split the damage, that's why pure physical damage has been recently realized to be better: it goes through one resistance while a lightning or fire weapon goes through two

Re: Full Dragon Archer Build Help
I saw someone in a youtube video using a fire crossbow with lightning arrows. Technically, that should be the worst thing you could do! I don't know if the same defense rules apply to bows and crossbows as to melee, though.True King Doran wrote:but lightning bolts would just unnecessarily split the damage, that's why pure physical damage has been recently realized to be better: it goes through one resistance while a lightning or fire weapon goes through two

Re: Full Dragon Archer Build Help
I don't remember... :/ Wasn't impressing me, that's all I remember. I'm pretty sure crossbows can get quite strong, so its damage shouldn't have been underwhelming.
But there's too much doubt in my answer, so I think I'll get around to testing it.
