There's a real easy way to beat him. Go under the bridge outside where the rats are, snipe him with a bow and arrow. I think he has 800HP... maybe less in the regular game. Game+ is allot harder to beat.

The only thing I hate more then drakes is the hellkite dragon, I wish you good luck in not destroying your TV and controller to beat this fearsome ****.

Just shoot it with a bow from the top of the stairs and observe where its head is after it lands. Run down to the bottom of the stairs to release aggro, do the same thing again, only after shooting it switch to your weapon and give it a good knock on the head once as it lands, then run back to the bottom of the stairs. Rinse and repeat.
