To be fair if you're used to building characters on Demon's and Dark souls, you don't really need a spreadsheet or calculator much

Very much so, on both accounts.
To be fair, If it's only stat arranging you could just do it without a calculator... Though I guess you want weight and stuff too?

Yea I'm trying to figure out my armor setup but calculating the weight of all those different combinations would have me going crazy like logan :drunken:

Well, Just whack on some stuff that looks cool, demons souls armour is basically useless anyway, you'll always have more significant defence from your level and you don't get poise either..
That's what I do anyways, to me the armour is nothing like the max upgraded poise giving stuff you get on Dark, it's purely for show

That is not entirely true, but your point is well taken. You don't want to make armor your main focus by any means, but there are a few key points you need to be aware of. Stamina is one of the most vital stats in Demon's Souls and many of the heavy armors have stamina penalties attached to them. Old King's for male and binded set for femal have no such penalties and offer decent protection. Also, some armors (like the old king's resests fire damage) offer high resistance to different things. There is no poise per se, but there are also some large heavy weapons that offer a poise like property during swing phase (like the great axe) that cannot be interuped once the swing begins.
