I have consistently used Queelags Fury Sword and do not land very many backstabs, but the other night I switched to the great lord great sword and started landing them left and right (literally, some from the left some from the right). I was not even trying for them most of the time, rather trying to kick someone off the ledge, but not always being adept at the synchronized timing I ended up doing regular r1 attacks. Maybe it was the first time my lag did not stink, but it seemed much easier to back stab.
