Strong magic shield for PvP

Tried to build a build (lol?) that would use this spell effectively but I didn't realize how short it's effects are. Even with the Lingering Dragoncrest ring it still only 20 seconds tops.

Can any sorcerer PvPers out there tell me how the hell to use this spell effectively? :|

I'm pretty sure this spell has next to no use in PvP because of the short time it lasts. It might let you defend against a moonlight greatsword with a small shield but anyone who sees you cast magic shield will just wait for it to wear out before attacking.

I wonder what it does to a shield bash >_>

You'd be better off with GMB.

This and hidden body received a high nerf with the new patch I think. Hidden body last like 10 seconds, it's useless .

I know, why did they need to nerf hidden body?!

What is this new patch? Link to details anyone?

It messes my Priscy cosplay, I have 1 slot for this and I love how she turns invisible by casting it, but it's so damn short!!! The ring of fog is more practical. And Strong Magic Shield should have the same duration as CMW and the other buffs. I don't know what would make these spells as unbalanced or cheap.

Strong Magic Shield is one of the more useless spells in the game. Especially for PvP where you have so many other easily more viable options, definitely pass on this sorcery.

Great Magic Barrier. Blocks a sizeable amount of magic damage just by default, even if you're not actively blocking with a shield. It also lasts a full minute. Makes the Four Kings a piece of cake.

Also, even though I've never tried it, if you upgrade a shield along the magic/enchanted path, it will get additional magic defenses. Don't know what the stats would be, but it would be worth doing since you wouldn't even need to cast anything for the effect.

Ah with the build I wanted to use this on I use the green grass stuff that puts up your stamina regen religiously. Well not that religiously because then I would know what it's called but I use it quite alot!

Just make a magic Grass Crest Shield and use green grass. Crazy stamina and solves your magic shield problem. If you need another shield, I'll give you mine.
