Experimenting with builds

Hello all,

I'm back again after a few month hiatus I had taken due to being very busy with work and moving so I haven't had much time to play dark souls until recently. I recently began to get bored with my sl 125 character who was a pure dex build with some pyromancy on the side. It was basically the exact same build I had in demon's souls. A few days ago I decided to completely branch out and start a new character with a whole new focus. A tanking faith build. It is so much freaking fun, as I am absolutely crushing everything in my path. I know I won't do well at PvP, but hey, dark souls is a lot more than lagstabbing and rolling right? Have you guys ever experimented with crazy new builds you would never think you would like but ended up loving it?

i was actually surprised at how much i like my DGH build, sure i could use the great club and have tons of poise but the DGH looks so badass. im hosting in btown with and and when i fight its so much fun, here it is;

Will do man! Is it still saturdays and sunday nights? I know I'm friends with you on PSN so I will just message you. I have a few other SL120 builds I'm working on that I can use in the meantime.

Heh, yes it is. It is a wondrous tool of destruction. For all who use it will understand its superiority over all Hammers

Seriously, thou, it depends on your liking. if you prefer to kill them with speed yet a distance, a short/composite bow with sorcery would work. However, if ya want to become an annoying reaching dude that pesters enemies, sue a long spear or halberd to show them some pain. For some crushing blows of pure strength, aim for the Great Axes and Hammers.

So many choices. It is all yours. Recommendation? Something that invokes extreme amount of pain upon all enemies. Great Hammers and Greatswords accomplish that very well.
