Good or Bad?

I have been in a complete hiatus from games for almost 8 months now. To put it simply Dark Souls got me hooked again thanks to my brother-in-law who have been so persistent for me to buy it which he ended up buying for me cause I kept making excuses.

I just hope it wouldn't interfere with my plans and goals at the moment which is the reason why I stopped playing.

Long story short, I can't seem to put the controller down ever since I got it. Every time I get some free time I end up in front of my ps3. When I go out like last night, I find myself planning what I am going to do with my character lmao. Tried not to drink too much as well so I'll be able to play when I got home too.

So what do you guys think? Is this just a "Dark Souls" phase? lol

For about the first 100 hours it's like crack lol. You got it bad like some others I know.

Well I've definitely done that, when i dont have anything more like, important to daydream about then yeah literally i used to think about it all the time, first month or so i played it.

And its the kind of game that grabs you by the balls and doesnt let you go till you've been squeezed of at least 200 hours of your life.

and in terms of going out and not drinking so you could play, damn straight, dark souls at 3 in the morning for the *** win!

yeah, it's that sort of game, had to wrench myself from it so that i didnt fail my exams lol

If I'm not playing Dark Souls in my free time, I'm probably doing something Dark Souls related. I've even dedicated the time when I can't play Dark Souls to a somewhat ambitious project involving... well, Dark Souls.

I love Dark Souls.

I'm over 400 hours in now (i've completely lost track) and I still can't get over it. I've had days where I didn't play because of frustration, but besides that I've spent nearly every waking hour I'm not busy on this game.

200hrs in, 100 of those just PvPing at the Kiln. No sign of boredom.

Heh over 400hrs into this game no boredome yet, though I know my gf will be extremely happy when I do get tired of playing cause she hates this game. But when I'm at work....like now I tend to think about what I'm gonna do in dark souls when I get home, and I'm usually looking at these forums when I'm bored here at work >.>

Wait about 800hrs until it gets boring.

This is exactly what happened to me in October... now I've got 200 hours invested.

Its funny I barely put 200hrs into demons souls b4 putting it down but I can't seem to get this game out my head.

i got it really bad for demon's souls, over 300 hours non stop. it was about 100 hours for dark souls.

I never pvped in demon souls maybe that's it, but then I put over 300hrs into dks b4 I got into pvp so I dunno. This one just has my interest waaay more. Could be cause demons was on ps3 and I'm not to fond of ps3 >.> don't hate me.

I really liked DeS, but DkS has me at 400+ hours as well, where as DeS had me at maybe 200-300 by the time DkS had come out.

IMO it's just a superior game, PVP, PVE, anything really.

Ya I have to agree with u there, this one is better. Never pvped in demons so I have no clue how the pvp was.

if there was poise in demon's souls it would be perfect, *** katana's kicked my ***, i always switched to my mirdan hammer when i saw someone use them. how can you guys say dark is better in pve and pvp, they basically copied and pasted everything from demon's souls which i was i little disappointed with but its more balanced now, specially the poise thing, no more stunlocking.

I dunno dks just feels better to me, I got bored with demons way to quickly.

there was actually pure builds in demon's and they kicked ***, all i see in dark souls in lightning weapons and havel's and giant's armor.

Demons souls in a lot of ways was superior. I put over 800 hours into that game. I lived breathed and dreamed Demons Souls. With that said, dark souls is a lot smoother and.... not easier but easier to play. Although you could argue its easier... I really miss the ability to make pure builds like someone said earlier. My dex builds owned. I'm kinda mad about the scaling in Dark Souls.
