Forrest PVP issues

So since like 2 days ago ive been having this weird problem, the forest PVP simply doesnt happen. I can invade or get summoned via red orbs/white stone, but i dont get invaded my self, the fog gate doesnt even come up, neither do the summoning signs appear on the bottom of the stairs, and theres usually plenty of those. I tried with various chars too, SL 110, 140, 205 all the same, im not in the cat covenant either so thats not it either, and i can get invaded if i stand on the other side of the gate where the bonfire is, so can someone explain to me what is going on lol.

Killed Sif?

I did yeah, does that affect it? i thought the invasions were Forrest covenant related and have nothing to do with Sif what so ever.

there is only one place in the game you can constnatly get invaded with the boss dead and thats dark anor londo,

Sif is the area boss, so his presence is what dictates your ability to host in an area/be invaded by phantoms.

The reason you can get invaded on the other side of the door is because your Moonlight Butterfly is still alive and kicking, I'd wager.

Ugh well that should be written somewhere lol, darn it >.< Well thanks for the explanation at least, guess its time for NG+++++ if i can manage the four kings and the final boss anymore.

Umm.... Sorry, what? Can you explained this more? I invade in dark anor Londo for the very reason that I don't get invaded.

^Pretty sure he meant that dark londo depends whether you killed miss amazing chest or not, not whether you killed O/S, thus as a result you can still get invaded after killing them.

Yes because the layout changes and the boss becomes gwyndolin. So theres still a boss which is why you still get invaded. Just want to be sure that's what he means.

I really don't think you can mate. Been there with my 120 for days now without one invasion. Used to be constant before I killed gwyndolin.

I've had Darkmoon invade me in Dark Londo with both Chesty LaRue and Gwyndolin dead. They were both fairly early targets for my primary character in the last playthrough and there was a couple of times I had to visit the Giant Blacksmith and got invaded. One time was near simultaneous double Darkmoon trouble.

also upon reflection only those wearing the Ring can invade you if you have killed both of them

Not really, that's what I said I used that area for; to invade without worrying about dark moons.

Are you sure you were in Sif's portion of the forest and not the Butterfly's.

Billy I'm sorry but that guy is right. After killing Gwyndolin, only two online things can happen: You summon someone through White Soapstone (for nothing obviously), or a Darkwraith accidentally invades you because of some bug. Killing Gwyndolin disables darkmoons invasions through Darkmoon Covenant ring.

Nope, I'm certain I was in sif's section. I was meaning forest hunter invasions BTW which would not work in the butterfly zone.
