Acid surge damage? RESOLVED

Does anyone know the amount of damage the acid surge pyro does to equipment?

Enough to break katanas I think.

Anything more than Dex weapons though and you'll need TWoP for it to do any noticable damage :|
Pro-tip, don't use TWoP in conjuction with Acid Surge. Equip-breaking builds were bad enough in Demon's Souls...

Interesting fact, after using Crystal Weapons; Durability seems to decrease slower for crystal items than other forms of items. It seems that way, as I have about 7, 8 crystal red and white round shields and one +14, and the Crystal shields decrease durability less than the regular shield... and they are constantly used against NG+ rats.

Would Acid surge be also good against weapons like the moonlight greatsword? If they spam too much the R2 attack, soon it will break! And its not hard to affect people in places like the burg, problem its all the BS fishers...

It can be useful in the right circumstance, usually its used as a barrier or to force an opponent where you want them to go.

Use it when they're using repair powder on the weapon

Was just curious about the actual amount of damage it does per second, try to get an idea about what weapons it coyld affect and how much etc etc

No, Crystal stuff might reach lower. iirc the Oolacile catalyst has 30 too


Why did they nerd the RoF, Casting Poison mist with that on would be awesome!

Yeah but breaking that doesnt do anything. Pyromancies are still cast normally.
All crystal weps have 20 durability.

Actually, the pyromancies do suffer from the damage. It's the buffs that don't change.

You sure? I dont remember mine doing any less the time I broke it.

I've actually had my pyro hand broken before, just can't remember if I could cast or not.

Been making euns in izalith for red chunks, the big multi eyed things (thats the technical term) can damage your equipment, ive had my pyro hand broke a few times, you can still cast, however the casts do next to no damage and it becomes worthless until its fixed
