Fastest weapons have to be the daggers and knives, range is super short though. I prefer the Scimitar or Falchion though, as they're fast and have longer range.

The fastest I think is the dagger and ghost blade. They're in the fastest weapon class and are the lightest i think of the class, making them the fastest.
fastest of the rapier class is the mail breaker, it's the same weight as dagger, but is in rapier class so don't know which has faster attack animation, though i'd presume the dagger does.

Well, to be fair if you're talking about the single fastest attacking motion, one of Ricard's R2 flurry would take it, but fastest attacks definitely are daggers.

Daggers, then Falchion/Hand Axe/Fury Sword. Dagger R1's are useless though. The second group will RIP through poise two-handed.

Just found out that the parrying dagger 2h is the fastest weapon that i saw but that does not mean it is the strongest but the interesting part is that the strong attack goes through stagger it is pretty strong with 5+ divine
also i tested other daggers and i found that this was the fastest
it is also faster than curved swords sooo it might be the fastest in the game

Don't mock the Dagger's R1 attack - buff that with Lightning Blade and go find someone to murder. It's BRUTAL.
But yeah, Daggers are the fastest weapon by far.

Yeah. A buffed dagger does insane DPS and uses very little stamina.

Not it's 2h. I'm actually using it on my most current PvP build, and I've taken down several people with that attack buffed. I'm doing close to 1800 damage on average with that combo, and it comes extremely quickly. Works especially well on people who are trying to tank because most of them have just stood there ground and taken the full brunt of it.

If I go for the flourish I generally use it 2h, because it's so much faster and I expect to be taking hits while I'm doing it, so I want to be doing as much damage as possible. I'm still only using Great Magic Weapon, as opposed to CMW, too. My INT isn't high enough for it yet. I'm sure when I get there I'll be doing crazy high damage.
Actually it might not be that much faster 2h. He does a bit of a wind up before he starts in 2h that slows the animation about as much as the 1h, but I'd think it'd be harder to predict anyway, because you don't stop and do that silly salute thing before you do it.

This was done before PTDE, so I think they have changed the dagger and claymore speed.
However, looks like dagger, Straight Sword and curved swords are very very close.
and the fastest should be spear if u spam R1.
