Build Advice?

I've bought a copy of Demons Souls and I've just gotten past the Tower Knight (no seriously, *** that bridge...)

I'm kinda curious as to what kind of builds people have found work better for them.

One thing I've noticed is that armor isn't nearly as useful as it is in Demons Souls, because no matter what you wear you always get stunned by anything.

I was planning on using the Morion Blade, looks cool and that effect looks dynamite.

You get stunned because there's no poise in Demon's.

If you're going to use the Morion Blade I'd recommend a hyper build. The blade combined with Clever Rat's Ring = Amazing damage output.

my recommendation is using a pushed Talisman of Beasts with 44 faith and 44 magic with 40 intelligence. Put the rest in vitality.

head gear should be monk's head collar

body, legs, and arms can be anything just as long as you can still fast roll

left hand should be the talisman of beasts and a light but effective shield(heater for example)

right hand if not in hyper mode kris blade +5 and if in hyper morion

rings:(if in hyper)ring of magical sharpness and whatever depending on the situation

rings:(if not in hyper) ring of magical sharpness and clever rat's ring

Yes, the lack of poise is something to take into account.
So using full heavy armour sets isn't a good idea in Demon's, but mixing heavy pieces with light pieces is way more useful than in Dark Souls.

Most magic hyper builds have you use Morion blade and Magic Sword "Makoto" in the left hand slots, and your melee/catalyst in the right hand.

Not too sure about melee hyper builds.

I've decided to go an alternate route, I'm currently rocking (and loving) The Dragon Bone Smasher.

I'm probably going to leave Dexterity behind me for this build and focus on strength and endurance, that way I can get a decent shield and some decent armor, but still have a fast roll.

I'll also have just enough faith and just enough intelligence for both Second Chance, and Cursed Weapon. I need to find a Talisman of the Beast.

Well, as long as you already have the DBS, the easiest ToB to get is by killing the BP Scirvir. Any time you're in body form, just go suicide in Stonefang to lower the tendency, then when it hits pure black take the falling shortcut path in 4-2 to find him. He's a pretty tough foe, but the ToB is definitely worth it

Otherwise you're looking at offing the entirety of the NPC cast for Mephistopheles to give you one. I think you get to let Yuria live, but basically everyone else has to go

On Topic: Pushed ToB pure caster was my absolute favorite build, followed shortly by the Cracked ToB Cursed Weapon DBS build
