Moral and Ethics are relative, not absolute. Take that to heart.

I am sure you and your friends are not doing anything wrong. However, sone may get angry at Tge fact as of what anime is, which usually portrays young girls. Although Japan may watch these amines as kids, others watch it at an older state. Similar to My Little Pony, I think.

I could be wrong, though. I don't watch cartoons other than Looney Toons or Animaniacs at times of entertainment. Warner Brothers had a better way of family shows than most, including pixar (which is usually a view of dark or depressive thoughts for adults). Looney Tones kept it centered at humor for all, even if both the young and old see things differently.

    But, I digress.

I love (not really) how someone would have so much time on their hands to handle all of the world's ills that they'd still have enough left to be worried about what you're wearing to the point where they're offended. Apart from wholly inappropriate for the setting attire, there's no call for that (I'm looking at you grim reaper cosplay at a funeral, by the way I want someone to do this at my funeral)

I am tired and agitated, with mosquito bites all over my neck and cheeks. I question if all are from those blood suckers, and spiders and flies helped with the cause as well. Last day I slept out on a tanning chair though, I get my bed soon

    cheers

But yes Bunny, you are fine. Judgement of others that you don't really care about is secondary or less than those that actually care about you, as well as you care for them.

I think you should invest in a tent the next time you decide to sleep outdoors. It sounds like you were a yummy meal to all sorts of creepy insects.

Thing is, anime as a concept is different to my little pony. My little pony has a very limited target audience which is catered to (and very obviously at that), however manga and anime is made so that anyone can watch/read it and appreciate it fully. I don't mean finding hidden meanings/excuses like bronies do in MLP, just things that are in there that anyone can pick up on that are integral.

Though there are some instances which diverge from this principle such as seinen and josei demographics, but more mainstream ones are watched by lots of people, then again I'd need someone japanese to back up my point really silly

You can tell I really enjoy manga as an alternative story telling and entertainment medium to the usual TV and film lol!

Serious, you are right. As someone who has a few Japanese friends, I can confirm that all sorts of people watch anime and read manga in Japan. As with all interests, there is variation on how... dedicated people become. I don't know much about otaku/NEET culture in Japan, TBH. That is a whole other niche of people - and often looked down on.

I'm getting shades for when I go to Toronto, which is very soon.

And I got this information of Anime by looking at and watching many people who are into anime... I was not impressed by their affectionate views of anime, and the Anime seem to follow a trend similar to many other popular things in the world. Of course, I have found some amines that are more than that, they share similar tastes to other things.

As man is known to be high hypocrites and selfish, they criticize and point out things they find disturbing, even though they may follow similar things as well and don't even know. Man is stubborn that way.

Seeing the similarities of Animes to other products, they just seem like another curtain for a story written in the same fashion. As it hints towards violence, sexual arousal, and 'alien' qualities like many, people who look down on the see them as such. Of course, they see it as such as well for other products. I have heard and seen many criticize other things, including MLP, undead movies, action movies, general cartoons, news, magazines...

Please don't get upset at me sad

Yeah cook, there's a lot of different varieties of people into things. The bronies, otaku on the more extreme scale of those things. I myself am more interested in it as an artform that can bring across ideas, emotions and worlds that are impossible to dictate using film. I'm no otaku, but there are many ways I'd argue that film can never reach the written word/song or the drawn masterpiece. It's the same reason why art and music are valued to this day as artforms when TV and cinema dominate our lives.

In terms of looking down upon people, I do not do so for no good reason. I don't look down on people for simply enjoying a show. I was just saying that manga in general is aimed to be just as meaningful and entertaining to a grown man as to a child, that is why it is so popular in Japan, though it has not come over to other continents with any where near the same popularity.

Toronto holds treasures of kinds I deem necessary.

But as Bunny said before, and as I have said in the past many times, to each their own. Man's greatest quality is variety, and although many share similarities to others all are different in their own way. Even in taste.

Some of our accents can be kinda nasty though, specially geordies and proper brummies, though I'd like to think I've got an okay-ish accent, not too posh or drawled, a happy median lol!

Have to say brits get outnumbered on here... I know theres a few but majority of you are from the Americas around here.
