Soda but more like older fountain style. Emphasis on few ingredients. Usually fruit flavors and made with a large amount of juice. For instance the brand I get in lemon flavor is 18% juice. Very intense flavor

Italian soda is just carbonated water with syrup flavouring. You can change the syrups to create a variety of flavours. I'm pretty sure that is the idea behind those new Coca-Cola vending machine drink thingys they have now (127 flavours to choose from!)

Yeah, that's the old fountain model. Cherry coke and vanilla coke existed a long tine before they were put in cans at places that did the fountain.

When I went to see The Dark Knight Rises on opening night, I tried out one of those Coca-Cola Freestyle machines with the 127 flavours. Basically, you choose a base drink from their selection (the usual Coca-Cola drinks with the option of making them "zero" calories - Coke, Sprite, Barq's, Fanta, etc.) Then you could choose additional flavouring syrups (I went with peach). So I got a Sprite Zero peach flavoured drink that tasted like Fuzzy Peaches. It was pretty good.
If you haven't noticed yet, I'm very much guilty of being a glutton.

Thinking about this made me angry... Angry because the Mikkies nearby likes to give people soda drinks with their Big Macs... By filling them with half water.
Have you ever wondered why McDonalds and every other Resturant (or just Fast-Food) has pop that tastes differently than ones you have at home? It's because you have been cheated from your carbonated drink, and are given water with sone soda content remaining.
Ugh...
I need to get a video for you guys, hold on a second

When I last visited Atlanta I went to the Coca-Cola museum and there they had a room with all sorts of soda drinks from all corners of the globe. NA, SA, Africa, Europe, etc...
There were a few which were from Italy, but the one I tried was a clear drink which was chalky and bitter tasting, not sure if that's what you're referring to.

I like the series, shut up.
Watch near the end of the PSA, and listen to the man in blue from start to finish. He made me smile.

I don't think it's more water, I think it's more ice. They put so much ice in their drinks that it limits the volume of pop that they can put in, and when the ice begins to melt, well, you know...

On the rare occasion I go to Micky D's and get a combo, I usually substitute my pop for iced coffee!

Re: Random Off-Topic
You haven't seen them pour drinks before? They put the cup under one tab that fills water, one for the soda, and then they get the ice... Not always in that order, but that order I usually see it to be.
Go to a mikes with a soda machine behind the counter. Watch them pour it. Both in the city and town I have seen this routine again and again. I questioned why they fill a cup with two tabs with liquid (not ice), and it seems to be the most logical explanation. Even drinking the cokes from such places, they taste more watery, like how home made juice taste like water for the amount of water you add to the frozen juice content. The more you add in the jug, the more watery and less flavoured it tastes.
I see there lies... I see them quite well. The question is what type of water they use.

Pop is not good for you anyway! They are doing you a favour, Cook! Saving you from stomach ulcers one watered down drink at a time.

Re: Random Off-Topic
I have a plan of drinking for a short life, and it's a plan I intend on following. That, and I has about three cases at a friends (although I did not drink all 36 of them in one day, and people were taking some, even though they had cases of their own to take, including other sodas, Gatorade, and energy drinks. Kleptomaniacs!)
I aim to live a short life in this body, or find a new form to live a linger life. This body I'm in is not exactly my favorite to be in, too many scars and fishy. I would prefer one with a more stable skull to disallow head dizziness from standing up too fast... Of course that could be because of the many times I had spinner around in circles like the Tasmanian devil when I was young. Sigh... Not much in saving this one, I lack fish food these days.
I miss my fish food... At least I keep my chicken, although it has been turning against me.

Re: Random Off-Topic
Some places will use a dual dispenser like that. Pretty much what bunny described. One is carbonated water and then they add syrup based on what you ordered. Since doing it by hand can throw ratios off most places around where I live don't do it that way these days. Denny's actually used to have a hidden drink menu that you had to know about to order. Think they list out now but their secret was that you could order coke with flavors added. Their vanilla was way better then the canned version.
Pendant, I had a similar experience at Epcot on my first honeymoon. Some interesting flavors outside the USA. Also had Cola from Puerto Rico (second honeymoon) which is amazing. To answer the question you had, never had a chalky soda thank God

Jamba juice has a hidden menu, and it's better they mix your drink like that. Take it from the guy who drank enough monsters to give an average man a heart attack, soda is BAD enough as is for you.

Cook, you don't drink coffee? Only pop/Coke?!!
I don't really like Timmy's. The coffee is really watered down (at least at the kiosk in Union station) and their cappucinos are way too sweet.
I always get the same thing at Starbucks though... A tall skinny vanilla latte with soymilk~ ♥ Yummy! Unless it's the winter season, then I go crazy because I love all the holiday drinks (creme brulee, pumpkin spice, etc.)

Re: Random Off-Topic
I drink other beverages other than coke, trust me. I can drink any coffee like beverages, but not coffee itself.
I prefer to cook my own food, or to be served home made food, as I can make whatever I feel like. Chicken Eings with Nachos and Cucumbers/Jalapenos? Sure. Chicken Burgers with Grapes and Potatoes with Gravy and Cheese? Sure. Breakfast of Rice with Eggs and Cheese, with a side of pemale bacon? Yes please.
As you can see, my food combinations and what I have is not really specifically assigned togetherclike restaurants and such usually do (unless you want to pay extra money, which is more expensive than it is worth).
