And listen, guys... I don't like this **** either, but sometimes I've just got a point to make. I'm certainly not making an argument in favor of griefers.

You preempted me there, Tolvo. Haha.
I get it. We get worked up sometimes and we've got some issues we need voiced. I'm into that. I just know that I appreciate reasoning when I'm the person ranting. Forum is particularly good for keeping emotional topics logical.

Unfortunately logic and reasoning do not always go hand in hand, more so it's about relating to the person and using empathy. But a lecture about amateur psychology is probably not for this thread haha.

Gaz... Man. I'm glad you think that way, what I fear is that this griefing could kill low level coop eventually.
When I low level coop I use starter gear so the challenge is still on, and me and the host can really enjoy it.
I'm used to griefers and gankers, but this game ia to awesome to spoil it by glitching.
My las thought would be... At least finish 1 playthrough before starting to cheat.
Experience at least once what this great game has to offer.

Re: This is really sad...
There's actually a system that players could use to keep Co-Op fun, without making level runs instant kill fests with OP gear. My trick, I keep powerful gear so I get summoned, sometimes alongside a person with poor gear. I go through the level using crap, and when an invader comes just pop on the better gear to deal with them. It doesn't even require the BB, just a low level run really, or even just a bit of farming as boring as it is. The issue is most low level summons just one shot everything, so my system usually fails.

I'm not suggesting that you coop the damn game with all your high end gear equipped. I'm simply saying that it's probably a really effing good idea to have some back up gear for those times when you WILL get griefed, instead of getting bent out of shape about people continuing to do what they've always done.

THANK YOU, TOLVO.

Re: This is really sad...
I wouldn't worry about that Doelker, it'll never happen. Sure it may greatly reduce low-level co-oping for a while, but the griefers will soon move on, opening the way for the low-level co-opers to return. Of course you could always create a bad-*** low-level toon, and devote some of your playtime to griefing the griefers, if low-level griefing really irks you.

Re: This is really sad...
Ok people... I think none of you got the point. I know grifing exists since the first badass was able to make a level 1 run, and increased with bb glitching. I know that and always known that.
But I hoped that at least this people enjoyed and went through 1 playthrough.

Re: This is really sad...
Sadly I am under age haha. And I understand the pain, sometimes when doing low level co-op I'll turn a corner and meet a guy with a chaos claymore, black iron armor, ninja flipping with a MoF. That really sucks, you just have to move past it. It would be nice if they moved on first though, so that low level co-op would become a bit more fun haha. What levels do you usually do co-op at by the way?

Re: This is really sad...
When I am at the burg I stay at starting level depending on character and use starting gear only. I buy a lot of firebombs wich are really handy.
I tend to level up as I moving forward, for example at the parish I stay at level 10 and do the wayvern run to gt the claymore and become a sunbro.
My gear for the parish is only the hollow soilder waistloth, claymore +5 and heater shiel +5
my intention is having a good coop sessiom without making a cakewalk... Even for me.

Re: This is really sad...
Do you ever do any of the more difficult places, like Btown or TotG? Catacombs as well, these are some pretty great spots where for your level, you can take on griefers without powerful gear since you should be able to handle yourself by that points.

I assume that makes a big difference. I wouldn't mind cooping TotG or something like that. Maybe it'll be my coop specialty. Haha.

I'm in the process of setting up toons for those areas, upper btown in particular which I know is hell for most newer players, plus it isn't too hard to deal with griefers. One kick is fatal to them.

Damn you guys, I'm stuck at work & therefore cannot drink!
I will however throw in my 2 cents. This guy COULD have done what I did: Once I got my first character to the Kiln, I wasn't sure I was ready for NG+, and I didn't wanna lose access to the Kiln, so I parked him there. I helped others coop Gwyn. I did some DM invading there. And I started a new character. And another. I BB glitched a few, though never to grief. A griefer is a griefer no matter what, and I am NOT condoning briefing, but merely suggesting that this particular griefer MAY have played a full play thru, just not moved on to NG+.

Re: This is really sad...
Of course Tolvo. I am a coop pve player, so most of my biulds are capped at level 60.
I have glass cannon intelligence, faith and dex build on NG + already.
My latest one was the faith build and came out pretty well.
So you get me...
I start a build. I coop in all the areas, farm my stuff, get the souls and move on within the soul range to coop everywhere till I reach level 60.
The one I was working on is a strentgh build.

I am playing right now on xbox tonight, I was cooping at the Parish, get summoned and host got invaded. I see the invader aproaching, full havel's with a rapier that turned out to be lightning.
Now listen to this... He casts Iron Flesh, cause he was already walking with something buffed like power within, so Iron flesh, lightning rapier, gc, full havel's....
