Giant clams in Ash Lake are rather generous o_o;

I got a Twinkling titanite from each one. Is that supposed to happen?
Also, I got 2 Stone Greatswords, in the same run, without even being farming for them.
Dark Souls is being rather nice to me.

the clams have become pretty much useless, they used to be one of the only places you could get twinkling tinite from. When the game first came out they actually didnt have a great drop rate, then they patched it AND made them available to buy in anor londo.

Lol i know but still, I'm getting rare drops all over the place. Got a demon's Great Machete in my first trip to the lost izalith.

i hated farming for twinklies but crystal shield helped a lot since the drop rate was so *** low it took forever for me to upgrade some of my favourite armors and then they patched it and like FPN said they made the twinks drop so high you can get one per kill now and you can buy it which REALLY pissed me off since all that work i did was for nothing.

I actually still preffer to farm them in Dukes archives, rather than buy from Giant blacksmith. Its so expensive! I'll buy only if lacking time or too many souls

I prefer to farm the Clams in the Crystal Cave after killing Seath, as there are so many clams and lots of loot. That, and the pearls can be used for other means and are harvested as well.

I don't buy that titanite from the Blacksmith Giant.

I am still pissed from when i first played and i got cursed in the great hollow, i think this happened to quite a few people. I managed to make it through the depths fine but i got cursed in a spot thats a lot worse, imo. Its so far from anything without warp, even just going down there before i got warp was a mistake. If only i had known that the clams drop curse removal items.......would have saved many many deaths.

I spent 6 hours farming Clams, though not the ones in Ash Lakes; the ones in the Archives. Got 150 pieces of Twinkling titanite, and 70 Purging Stones. So I'd say they are a common drop.
