Darkstalker guide- Anor londo

saturday we attack anor londo and i wanted to compile a guide to taking out hosts in anor londo, so lets get to it.

Location-
choosing where to invade from is crucial, invade from Darkmoontomb and you spawn at the top of the stairs with the sentinels, invade from the gargoyle elevator you Spawn just befor the Bridge, Invade in Solaire's bonfire room, you spawn in the doorway from the SK archers, Invade from steps to O+S and you invade at the base of the stairs, Knowing your spawn location is eveything within the first few seconds of spawning sweep your camera round and take notice of your surroundings, Are the enemies Alive or dead, can you see any damage across the field footsteps the quicker you can aquire your the mark the better.

Strategy-
As always the best strategy in a fight will win, If you are a glass cannon waste no time in getting into position if you are spotted your attempt will surely fail, knowing how to get around Anor londo will help you, if you are being chased by a gank squad head to where the dragon slayer bow is from there you can easily get back into the main hall before they catch up to you and set your ambush, For Melee/magic fighters In a one on one fight there isnt much to say just try your best, go for BS if oppurtunity presents itself but try not to rely on it for the win, In a3V1 Divide and conquer the Stairs in the main hall allows for single file only rack up Firestorm and set it off and as they flee, get your fireballs out or CSS if you have it, in tight nit quarters you only have to worry about whats in front of you again you can retreat through the Dragonslayerbow area should you be overwhelmed.


NO BS zone-
If you can get to hear you remove the BS/repostee from the fight this will make a 3v1 a direct slug fest but remember most gankers will just go for the BS and all they will get is a normal hit, use this to your advantage Light it up with pillars of flame remember you can parry so do this and thn set stunlock, If your strategy for Gankers is BS them avoid this place at ALL costs.

Items-
Get double stacks of Blossom, Lloyds talismans, poisin throwing knifes and dungpies before nothign is more annoying then having to go restock, remember lloyds are your freinds in a gank throw them with lock off an keep your distance, poisin and toxin will make most people panic as they have to use a moss while avoiding your attacks use this to advantage!

Overview-
Location is everything for this event, invading from O+S means you can set up your ambush quite easily, Knowing the Tearrain is a big advantage you can also jump from the spiral stairs to where the titanite demon is saving you time while hunting them down, NO BS zone should be used if you know you can kill without BS and not want to worry about getting BS'd yourself, and finally Items a well organised inventory is the difference between winning and loosing, your weapon breaks your gna want to swap that while on the fly, plus your hot key items place them in an order you can memorise so you know exactly where it is when you need it -Example- 1st- Redeyeorb 2nd- green blossom 3rd Lloyds' talisman 4th Poisin Throwing knifes 5th Dung pie, thats my loadout for invading and without looking i can switch to what i want.

There are some other things I've learned from DM anor londo invasions. Just thought it would help.

If you invade a gank by first spawn point, quickly rotate the camera for position of the elevator. Most gankers will forget to move it, Immediately run towared the elevator and turn lever up. Usually you will split up the gankers to just a 1 on 1. Only problem is it is a BS and Parry free zone. In my opinion still better than a three on one gank.

In the rare situation that none of the gankers make it on the elevator, they have no choice but to go across the buttresses since they won't want you taking up realm space. Go by the ladder and camo the best you can with DraBow equipped. Chameleon + quickscope works but fog ring is next best thing. Scope host off buttress and enjoy your win.

The titanite demon is your friend. provided he's still alive, some players wont enter his room but if you can bait them in then block the doorway, he'll be your greatest ally.

Also the giant sentinels are pretty strong too, so try and use them to your advantage too.

Ambushing, AoE attacks to unsuspecting hosts heading around a corner. The pyro, tempest and storm are pretty good at this, and will also help against phantoms too. As most people have atleast one phantom with them on the way to the boss.

the last 2 are good but hiding behind the titanite demon is just plain cowardice :/

I never said anything about 'hiding' behind the titanite demon, but if they're careless enough to follow you in there, then why wouldn't you use it to your advantage?

He's the strongest monster in the area bar the boss, and has a ton of hp.

Anyway, as I said most players will know better than to go in there, even with phantoms.

Ganking squads generally never break up, just keep pressure on them they will make a mistake, nothing is funnier then forcing a host to run out of estus

Question - is popping DB considered cheap?

Against I gank I dont think people will fault you for it, provided its a proper gnk and not a quester with 2 phants tryong to survive.

DB popping outside of a gank is cheap.

No they can't if they are by the elevator that leads to the first bonfire.

Not from my experience.

All the gankers like to wait by the end where there isn't a lever because that is where the spawn point is. If they Wait on the other side then the victim has time to collect himself and figure out what to do, gankers do not want that.
