Any weapon upgraded to lightning is 1.000 souls. Havels and Crystal Ring are also worth 1.000.
Maybe crystals upsets his stomach?

Hmm, I was thinking about the significance of Andre's, but the others have an elemental damage to them so that is probably why. I have one main toon with pretty much every item in game in spades, with different upgrade paths. I might have to get frampt for him just so I can check everything.

There's a list here, but it doesn't include values for souls, items or rings.

I find it interesting he also pays more for some souls. Soul of Lost Undead (and large), Priscilla's Soul, and Moonlight Butterfly, (and Gwyn's, as already said), I think there's another too, and some mundane items he gives you just as much. Prism Stones and Dung Pies (this is no laughing matter, its noisy, it snores, and its breath is lethal!).

It used to give 100 souls for prism stones bu they fixed that.
