Best boss weapons

So what do you think is a good boss soul weapon.

Lifehunt, Dragonslayer Spear, Sword of artorias (both in their own way), Shield of Artorias, Quelaags sword.

My favourite is chaos blade, even though i know at best it's as good as a +15 Uchi without buff.

Gravelord sword is OK at NG, same for Queelag furysword

Lifehunt Scythe is an interesting PVP weapon

Greatsword of Artorias is awesome at sl200+

I like the Lifehunt scythe, seems risky having a self bleed, but when you put the right gear on and get over 600 bleed resist you can't help but grin.

I find the Chaos Blade much better than the uchigatana. The base damage is the same, true, but the humanity bonus out-does the A/B difference in dex bonus. At 40 dex, 451 vs 420 according to the calculators. Its also longer, and I don't know if this is true, but I think most boss weapons stagger/stun better. Whether its just the weight or if it really is a bonus I have no idea.

I think chaos blade does stagger well yeah. also has more durability which is nice.

and the 450 is good, but then again since you cant buff it, and the other humanity scaling katana of chaos uchi, getting to 508 power, not really comparable as a non buffable option :|

still love it though, throwing around a bloodstained blade just screams badass

The 508 of the chaos uchigatana can't be compared to 100% physical of the Chaos Blade or uchigatana +15, due to the fire bit going thru another layer of defense. Also depends on the opponents' defense, of course.

LOL yes true, i fogot about that I've never had both on one account since my toon with chaos blade uses Pyromancy as magic..

But yeah, just for your opinion, you reckon chaos blade is good enough for NG+ or should i use different weapon? im still farming weapons at the moment but just would like to know in case i needed to get another weapon upgraded before i kill gwyn.

Smough's Hammer - strongest R2 in the game, deals around 900dmg to black knights in Anor Londo, if they block it then they stand still recovering the stamin for about 5-6 seconds. Amazing

smoughs hammer does 630 damage with 58 strength and at least 500 to any living thing i hit

Awesome for PvP, horrible for PvE, because of the 20hp you lose for every hit.

Isnt it just 10hp i thought you lost?

but to be fair i like it because it's different, did NG no problem and if it makes my NG+ playthrough a bit more challenging i welcome it

Pretty sure its 20. Not that there's a difference anyway, in PvP at least.

Meh as long as i just avoid getting hit most of the time probably wont be an issue for PvE either

The chaos blade is a classy weapon that does reasonably good damage, but its R2s are so terrible in pvp that I can't bring myself to play with it.

Smough's hammer is another overlooked weapon. I think it's one of the better weapons in the game. Its range is deceptive; its damage is quite good; and although people talk alot about how it opens you up for a backstab, it does so much poise damage, sweeps so effectively, and rolls out of recovery so well that backstabs against a smough's hammer user are pretty challenging.

I'm starting to also get into the moonlight butterfly horn and the moonlight great sword. My only complaint with the moonlight great sword is that I miss normal R2s.

Moonlight Greatsword looks the real deal when the opponent knows what he's doing. By the way, Chaos Blade is suspicious for PVP aswell because blocked hits also count for the bleeding, which means you're better off with anything else if you're going to face turtles in combat.
