Possible Catarina helm avoid WoG?

I was yesterday uplvl my char in pvp darkroot when i used the Catarina helmed for try. My invader uses couple of time WoG when i stand close to him without shield and i didnt get dmg?
I tough it was lag but later another one did the same thing and again iit was like its just passing by. Could this be true that this helmed can avoid WoG?

could be bad lag from them, i always wear that helm, its one of my fave in the game and i get hit with wog spam all the time.

it the spell might have been force

i also think the spell might have been force, not wog, and you where just outside of its range thats why you did not get damage or knocked off. in any case it is extremely unlikely that the helm had anything to do with it

nahh i doubt helms could nullify some stuff

because if i saw that the catarina helm blocks WoG i woould be expecting the sunlight maggot helm to nullify lightning damage

thus making me die a horrible and painfull death when i find out it doesn't

so yeah it was either lucky lag OR force

my bet is on force
