Poison arrows

you know i love them!!!!

nothing is better when you need a smoke break or a *ahem* smoke break need to pour yourself a drink....and also kill a giant monster. i <3 poison arrows!!!

I am not seeing what you are trying to get out of this. Is there any questions you had about poison arrows or are you just saying they are good? I agree that they are good for poisoning enemies and invaders but to me i was never much of a bow person because it does not do much damage and the arrows are easy to dodge.

i was trying to say i love poison arrows.

Its ok to like a certain weapon but if you intended to have this thread go anywhere than you should have asked some questions or made a poll to see what arrows people like.

The thread seems to be going somewhere just on the topic of loving poison arrows. I personally have never used them, but I've been meaning to for a while

I am not trying to tell people how to post. I just thought the topic was not very open to ideas, but i guess if i look at it better there are things to comment on.

When I read the original post I immediately thought if killing the giants slowly with the poison, !

The best use for poison arrows is for those damn Anor Londo archers that knock you off to your death. Ring of Fog + short bow (fast shots) + poison arrows = easy way past them. Just take cover as they'll shoot back where your arrow shots are coming from. It's either 2 or 3 shots to start poisoning them, then hide until they're dead.

Besides this I haven't really used them. What other enemies do you enjoy using them on?

these guys yes! um gaping maw big knights laurtec and his pack, it's amazing what is weak to poison

They're really effective/super annoying in PvP also because lag can make it very difficult to avoid being poisoned since even phantom hits build your poison meter.

I love them too, just won my first game I used a Short Bow with them (1/1). It didn't inflict poison, but the phantom was so freaking out, and when he ran off to try and heal with Heal, I shot him in the face, clutch and awesome.

Actually, poisoning people isn't very affective in PVP. I tried to build a character around Poisoning people (Poison Mist, Large Infected Club, Dung Pies, Toxic Mist, Poisoned Daggers). They just use Purple Moss to cancel it out

A lot of people have to go to their menu to use a blossom. Prime time to bust 'em. Best thing about poison is it reduces stamina regen. It'll also cause players who don't know better to panic and make mistakes.

Regarding bows in general, there are about a million things you can do with bow baits in PvP.

I remember being invaded buy a Havel cosplayer once, and I only had the Composite Bow equipped on my left hand at the time. I shot him a few dozen time with poison arrows and it doesn't even seem to bother the guy. He then came at me like mad, thinking I'm helpless or something, as he should. I then chain backstabbed the guy to death. While it was unintentional, it's still pretty clear that the bow is a wonderful bait indeed.

I prefer to use poison throwing knives for a PvP class I use. Poison Throwing knives and dung pie effects can cause some players to freak out if ill prepared and even if they are I use an elemental weapon that causes bleed. I usually feel dirty when I use that file. :I

O.T. I only use poison arrow in PvE.

I don't have a poison theme class, but I dislike magic buffs, and the damage increase, to me, from Lightning and Flame resins just doesn't seem worth it, so I have Rotten Pine Resin for my +15 Halberd build I'm trying. It was logical to also try those knifes out, but I found that they suck. They may work for you, but against any player that's really aggressive, or has a good shield, I find that standing there an throwing it could be done faster and better with a bow. Its also easier to hit someone with poison arrows than a knife. I'm getting really irked the the ridiculousness of DWGR flips over even fast roll, if you focus and time it right, its not impossible, or extremely difficult to hit a fast roller, just fair, but the flips are driving me crazy, its so hard to punish, without a backstab, against players who flip. I feel that the ability to build up a bar (Poison, Toxic, or the more common, Bleed) is really important for PvP, although not necessary. It just drives me crazy you can't hit them with hits that are really dead on, and I laugh when they keep rolling and rolling through Poison and it lands.

I really like poison. Poison them, then stay on them. The ball is in their court to try and eat a moss without eating a BS. So keep the pressure up on them, and normally they'll do something silly like go all out offence or eat a moss at a bad time and you can hit them for a bunch of damage.

Surprisingly enough I didn't go with a bow or arrows. Dung and poison darts for quick range coupled with poison/toxic cloud and a a massive swing of the sword and boom! Then you're also a gravelord so the "poison" starts before they even come at ya! Lol

Wow, no poise with the Gravelord Sword and no shield? That's a brave build my friend.
