So I was just pvp'ing in the forest, and I'm fighting 1 on 1. I get parried and of course riposted, then right as I get back up he backstabs me. So, this is the first time I've seen someone move fast enough like this...so how does one avoid it? Kinda like how you would avoid someone chain stabbing you?

Re: Riposte into backstab?
Yep, you don't press any button. (or have a piece of the thorns set equipped so you can roll into them)
Riposte into chainstab is actually fairly common, it's annoying to prevent though because the close proximity and lag makes it seem like they don't start circling for your back until you've already pressed the roll button.
At that point you're like oshit but you can't do anything about it.

You're actually lucky it wasn't worse, the bs is avoidble but several other things arn't. I won't list them.

Generally speaking though, hornet's ring aided riposte leaves you with little enough hp that standing still to avoid a chain will get you killed by the regular R1 anyway.

Re: Riposte into backstab?
I have two options that you could try, but they will not work all the time.
1. Whenever someone parries you try rolling with the dwgr. It will most likely allow you to roll quick enough and far enough so the enemy will not bs you.
2. If someone goes for a chain bs than dont press anything and your character will automatically look at the enemy. If they get you again and somehow you are still alive try rolling or blocking with a heavy shield.
Well hopefully those tips help you, but like i said they will not work all the time depending on connection and the skill of the enemy.

Or if you want the badass way to deal with it, return the favor! Instantly turn around when you get up. They'll be like, "Oh, he's taking a free hit!" But parry right away. Then riposte. Look down at them and go, "That'll teach you for properly predicting my moves sir!"

Thanks for the help guys, and LoL at Tolvo.
I was thinking you couldn't just stand there because my guy would still be facing the way he was parried and not my opponet, or do they just face toward whoever stabbed them?
