What i'm curious about is what changes or things has been made to the Dark Souls in game community. I've read that people are now mostly just making Powerful low level characters. Does that mean that lv 120 pvp is dead? Is there any other odd thing happening hmm ? Just wondering thinking about playing again sometime soon to see if i would have to remake builds.

Nah there is plenty of 120 action, just the BB glitch (look it up if you dont know) has made loads of people has low level griefers or anti griefers.. it's ruining the online early game honestly..
But nah the onlines good, was just PvPing in Kiln and while there are plenty of hornet BSers and gankers there's also plenty of duels to be had too still

Yes and no. The low level deal is a mix of people trying to legit pvp and people using a glitch that got made easier from an update to grief the burg/parish and cause mayham. 120 PvP is alive still but if you are invading it's usually you against 3 others. There has been talk of fight clubs and possibly taking it to 200 but I don't think anything is mainsteam yet.

The 120 scene is still alive and well, but most of the honorable dueling has shifted to the painted world. Low level fighting has become very prominent. If you like being invaded at low level, you can pretty guarantee constant invasions from the second you step into the Parish until you've left Anor Londo.
You should definitely re-join the fun. You can pretty much get any type of pvp you want if you know where to look. The one exception might be extremely high level; I have no toons above 120, so I can't comment on high sl action.

So for someone like me who hasn't gotten the game yet, does this make the game unplayable online at early levels?

Not unplayable, then again i recommend staying away from online as much as possible in your first playthrough and afterwards embracing it.
But low level summoning and invasions before you've run both bells suck. Quite a lot.

Not gonna lie, I'm a little bummed. The online system is one of things I'm really interested in. Could I level up and then start summoning/pvp'ing?
Either way I'm getting this game next week. From what I can tell it's one of the best titles the industry has put out in quite a while.

Honestly i say stay away from summoning until you've done a playthrough (or if you're totally stuck on a boss, a couple can do that to you)
but yeah, you dont really need summons until sen's fortress anyway so you wont be griefed too bad if you persevere the learning curve

Last noob question and I'll stop hijacking your thread OP.
I've kinda decided I want to roll a knight, is there a way to leave the Way of the White covenant and join another covenant?

Actually one more. How many stats would you reccomend investing in for a solid build?

yep, just talk to a cov leader and the option should be there, or talk to an npc named oswald in the undead parish and he'll let you abandon your cov. What cov you looking to join?

Thinking about the Sunbros. I'm interested in the co-op and those lighting spears are just so damn sexy.

theres two things you can talk to to join, an altar or a member of the cov, solaire when he's at said altar anyway. the altar is in the area the big red dragon sits on top of, good luck.

Thanks for the help fellas. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute more to the forum when I get a handle on the game. For now, I'll go back to lurking.

I see... thanks for the Reply's that's good news O:
thought i'm assuming the BB glitch must be the Bottomless Box glitch.. that was around for a bit didn't think people would go around using it. But thanks for the Info O:

I assume most people looking to do Co-Op are going to drop their signs close to the bonfires. That way, if you get invaded, you have strength in numbers.
I wouldn't worry about it too much.
