After leveling a couple times, I was able to buy spells from Griggs, but Logan still will not give me the option to buy spells. Am I going to have to wait until my next new game+ or will he eventually give me the option to buy his spells? I'm hoping that he will allow me to after Griggs moves to sens fortress and becomes hollow, but if he does not, will he still move to the duke's archives even if he didnt let me buy spells this time?

I can confirm that as long as you free him at Sen's he'll appear in the archives. I'm not positive if he'll the spells there, but I'm almost sure that he did offer me the spells with starting intelligence.

So the requirements are different for griggs and logan? Mine is currently at 10, and the only thing i really need the spells for is the ps3 trophy.

When Logan is at Firelink Shrine, you will need at least 15 Intelligence or else he will not sell spells to you.
After Logan moves to the Duke's Archives and you free him there, he will sell you spells regardless of your Intelligence level. Here he will still sell spells that you did not buy from him while he was at Firelink, allowing you to circumvent the 15 Intelligence requirement.

Logan is a bit of a mystery to me. Twice I've rescued him in the Archives and he's re-located to the library and twice, after defeating Seath, he's disappeared into the ether. When I go back to the room with the ember, he's not there. Anyone any answers please?

Did you buy all his spells? If so, he'll appear in the room where you first fight Seath wearing nothing but his hat, you can kill him for his hat and the tin crystallisation catalyst.

No Randell, no chest but I think Shakie probably has the answer. I didn't buy all his spells before I killed Seath. Thanks both.

Hi im having same problem, Seath dead, no Logan, or chest, but I forgot to free him from Sen's Fortress so I have probably just answered my own question

Also the most bizarre thing happened in archives last night, whilst trying to find Logan after Seaths demise. Every time my Lightening Claymore hit an enemy, rather than sparks, gorgeous rainbow colours flew off it ???...Also off topic whilst fighting the four kings hollowed there was an item drop on the floor (a dung pile) ???? Answers on a postcard
