Armor Worth It?

Is armor worth it at all to wear in this game? I'm noticing next to no damage reduction from armor, and without poise frankly the weight just doesn't seem worth it at all to me.

I felt no difference going from wizard clothes to Doran's armour, so just wear what you can, that allows you to fast roll.

Yeah, I've noticed my fat rolling tank toon just doesn't have that sort of defense from Dark. Tanking Flame Lurker just seems...Impossible. Actually tanking every boss does so far.

I just wore something pretty. (which is what I do in Dark Souls, too, come to think of it)

Some armor has better resistances, which can be helpful in some areas.

Flute Armor is what is pretty to me, I wanted to wear it my whole playthrough.

Wear whatever you want, armor is pretty useless here due to the absence of poise. If you want fluted armour, I'd recommend Black Leather arms and legs - helps with the weight and doesn't look half bad.

The Souls games are medieval dress up games, after all.

On the outside I'm a knight, inside of that I'm a man, and further in I'm a little boy playing with action figures of Aragorn and Gimli. Because screw Legolas.

Gloom set is my fave

In Demon's Souls, armor is really more for looks. IMO, the rings played more of a role of how hard or easy the game was going to be.

I really enjoy the Gloom set and Dark Silver armor.

I like the gloom set for looks and resists, and the female plate helm. You know, the one that's shaped like a straw hat

I'm good so far with the Dark Silver Set, at Allant.

Armor is merely cosmetic in this game.
