I know that it scales with your talisman equiped which scales off your faith. I'm wondering should I keep it at 30 or 50 to get the full use of the buff? how much difference is there in that extra 20 points?

Well, you can't use Sunlight Blade until the Minimum Requirement of the spell (50 if I remember correctly) is obtained. You can be 30 faith, but you can not use it.

As it were, a higher faith will grant you more damage to kill. So, if you reach 50 faith, your weapon can do more than a SN with 30 faith. Also counts from acanthus part of talismans, and ivory talisman would be useful for such high faiths. As it were, you can go to archives and see the thread about Sunlight Blade. You can see the difference yourself, and decide

I believe that sunlight blade adds 1.8xMajAdj damage to your weapon.
In my experience on the sunlight strait sword, at 30 faith it was enough to hold up in SL120 pvp. Like already stated the higher your faith goes the more damage it will add.

Thats what I used. Ended up doing around 4-500 damage on most enemies. About 300 on another player.

Silver knight strait sword. not upgraded at all. 26 dex and 24 str. 30 faith. canvas talisman.

damn, thats pretty good. im doing 900 with 40str/30fai with my machete and 600 with my great club.

Dmb can do a lot more damage, but it requires the covenant to do that. I'm working a darkmoon character up in rank currently. I'm hoping its worth it.

funny thing is, you'd probably 2 shot most people anyway without using the buff
