You know you've played too much Souls when...

You're reading the news and there's a title of a story like:

"2 BP Workers Charged with Manslaughter"

... and you read it as "2 Black Phantom workers..."

I actually did a double take from utter confusion... though it seemed totally plausible that two Black Phantoms could be charged with manslaughter. I'm also running on very few hours of sleep (because of a Souls game).

When your dreams are dark souls oriented. It's a trip man. I was in some completely made up place in my mind that looked like a cave of sorts. It felt like playing a completely new area. It was neat up until I got the is gigantic creature swinging at my from up above the clouds.

I woke up quite startled an drenched in sweat. It was awesome.

I work in a job where I see tons of names everyday. So I've seen quite a few mildreds and an Orienstien or two.

So I know how you feel.

When you see someone approaching you and you think "quickly, swap to shield" ._.
My mind is not very good at differentiating games and real life.

DkS never bled over into my life like that, but after a long time of playing CoD online I found myself reaching for my Stinger missile whenever I saw an airplane in the sky.

I found a neighbor growing Green Blossoms. I tried to eat it.
Also, i never need mugenmonkey to optimize my build. I do that in dreamland. I wake up and excited and poof, in a couple of seconds the build is made. =)

Halloween Costume idea. Wear armor, and paint yourself dark red. Go around as an invader, pestering noobies until they give you items so you'll leave their world.

There are a few times Souls has bled into my real life, but when I REALLY knew I was playing too much is when I discovered that the counter stops for an individual character at 999 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds. It's like the game says, "Are you kidding me?" and just gives up on you.

You write Sunbro on your resume under previous work experiance.

You name your kid Tarkus.

You tell your kids, "If you're good Santa will come." When they ask, "What happens if we were bad?" you reply, "The Darkmoons will come."

You get mad at someone and yell, "I'll go all Darkwraith on you!"

You know you've played too much when you try to recreate the move sets with actual weapons irl. It's a bit difficult with some of the weapons; you gotta swing dem Katanas FAST.

You start doing defensive blocking postures with your fake sword when talking to your wife.

You wanna pop some humanities to gain a lil more life to stay awake just a little longer to play more Dark Souls.
