IMO the DLC ruined PvP

CSS to the face happens every time sometimes uses a silver pendant. The silver pendant animation is long enough for the mage to switch spells (if he's fast) and cast said CSS, which will connect as you still can't roll.

Ok since there seems to be two concurrent discussions going on here, one being the lack of build variety due to Dark Bead and the other being how to counter Dark Bead, I've split the countering related posts into their own separate thread:

An appropriate place for that opinion would be a thread where the primary perogative is "This is OP, please nerf". Seeing as my thread is more about the diversity of PvP, telling me to learn how to block it is not only ignorant to the point of the thread, but generally detrimental to the conversation. If he lacks the understanding of the threads basis, then i will not humor him with a response better then "Get out"

If Dark Bead didn't ruin PVP completely--I'm along with Rynn here, though maybe not all the way to "disgust"--this goddamned FLICKERING sure as hell did.

Borderlands 2 and Demon Souls for me until they patch the DLC. And it seems I'm not the only one.

I haven't seen this flickering yet.

It's a PS3 issue.

Did the DLC ruin the game? Maybe. Did it give mages a very powerful magic that hurts if you mess up once? Yes, but this is Dark Souls. Were things are meant to hurt you and the rule of the game is, "Learn or die!"

I myself have an issue with Dark Beads. My issue is I get kinda used to dodging left and right for every other spell in the game, that I facepalm when I remeber dark beads has a horizontal spread and I facepalm.

So long story short...it may just take a while adapting to the new stuff. Patience is a virtue, and Dark Souls requires a lot of patience.

Made a new toon SL99 in about 10 hours... And without bro's help... well, just one bro helped me with some slabs hehehe

I found a way to make a toons fast if you have a bro, like, SL500... RSS make you summonable by high level dudes, so you can kill then and get like 800k souls easy and fast.

The only thing is materials, but even though, you can make a setup of +4 lgtning, +14 vanilla or +4 crystal only farming the first knight on Kiln... Well, if you have guts for DWs, you can be lucky and get a slab or 2 (got 3 this weekend).

Well, I have to admit that while I haven't met many Dark Sorceries spammers, almost all the people I fight, use Dark Bead as a support spell. I mean we are fighting, and at some random point they back off, cast it and keep fighting, it's not very fun to see it all the time.
