Tolvo refused to be deified many many moons ago. Your Prometheus status is your personal post and means immortality. What more could you want? All the glory, none of the responsibility.

And man that was so long ago, I remember those mod try outs. I always really liked that since I know too many sites that just let people become mods, and if they *** up the site they just go "Oh you're a mod no longer."

I really like that you guys actually check people out and make sure you know them well before making them mods.

Also I got to agree with what Tolvo said. This place is wise not to just hand a mod or admin title for no good reason without knowing what is at risk here.

Thanks Tolvo we will continue to do that for how we pick mods. We want the community to feel comfortable and trust in the fairness of the team. With the current crop of chat mods we choose individuals who had already been vetted/expressed interest for mod positions earlier on and had been watched accordingly. When more forum mods are needed we plan on following the same application process we have always done.

The newly apointed mods were individuals who had been on our next up list for a long long time for now. We received several pm's expressing interest in modding which is great to see since volunteer help is tough to come by. When the next opportunity for promotion to Forum mod comes up we will hold an open application process as we have always done. For the chatbox inaugural crew we already had those vacancies filled from Wiki chat vetting a bit back.
