Create your own level Empty Create your own level

Post by Johnthethird Tue Feb 12, 2013 8:52 pm

This is like the "Create your own enemy" Section, but with worlds.

    Be sure to include:

    Name
    Description
    Lore
    Enemies
    Boss
    Other

    Mine:
    Name: Sens Tomb
Description: Sens Tomb is like sens fortress as it is a house of traps, but much improved. The pendulums and arrow platforms remain, but there are also spikes that will pop out of certain parts of the walls, there are jumping areas where you have to time your jumps perfectly, the pendulum sections now have you have turns and different paths (imagine upper painting church) but where some areas will crumple beneath you so you have to choose wisely. Basically there are more intricate traps and puzzles that you have to solve in order to get through.

Lore: Sens tomb is the final resting place of Trap-master Sen. The fortress in Lordran was just a job he was payed to do. This is his life's work. It was not in fact, built by him but instead by his two sons Acu and Obtu using the blueprints that he had been working on his entire life.

As the player decends deeper, he will face greater challenges, and find murals on the wall, or statues which high-lite the story of Sen the Trapmaster.

Enemies: The enemies will face in the upper parts of will be the serpent men, and demons (just like in sens fortress.) As he gets deeper into the tomb, he will begin encountering automatons, and miniature golems.
Guarding the final boss room will be two normal sized golems.

Bosses: There will be three bosses in the tomb.

The first one will be the fire golem. Basically your average Iron golem but instead of using his ax, he has 2 built in flame throwers which are constantly spitting flames at you.

The second boss which is in the upper sens tomb will be the Serpent king. He will basically be a larger version of the serpent men, but will both have the lightning abilities as well as the physical strength of both types of serpents. He will also be much faster than the regular serpents. His sword will be a giant flamberge which he 2 hands.

The final boss at the bottom of the tomb will be Sen himself. Or more, a hollowed sen. Although he is undead and hollowed, sen is still just as intelligent and devious as he was before. He has replaced all of his limbs and a large portion of his torso with mechanical parts leaving only his head and spine and some ribs remaining. He will sprint around really quickly while shooting you rapidly with lightning crossbow bolts with shoot out of his arms. He has a device on his chest which shoots the same shock-wave as that used by the Iron golem. As you do more damage, he will begin to pull levers and begin to activate pendulums which will swing across the boss rooms at random times from random locations. If one of them gets near him, he will grab onto it and go with it into the walls. He will come out swinging on another while shooting lightning bolts on you, and then jump down from somewhere in the ceiling and make the golem shock-wave all around him.
When you kill sen, he will drop 1,000,000 souls, and the Soul of Sen which can be used on any fist weapons to turn them into sens mechanical arms which you can activate as a usable item and they will apear in place of your regular arms but you cannot be using any weapons or wearing any armor on your arms.

There is also an option to save sen in which you deposit 10 humanities into a slot next to the white light. If you do, he will communicate with him through a radio and sell you items which fall out of the slot.

    Kings Aviary

Did you ever wonder where those giant crows came from? Well, they didn't get that way naturally, that's for sure.

The Kings Aviary is a forgotten prison for the giant birds that were once bred as part of Gwyn's air force to fight the dragon menace.

The Aviary is an enormous tent formed from lengths of chain, barbed with iron thorns. This place was once beautiful with a lush green forest for the birds to inhabit, but due to neglect has become an overgrown dark jungle, with a deep poisonous fog.

When traveling through the Aviary your main enemy will be large and hollowed falcons, ravens and hawks that will spawn randomly and swoop down when you least expect it, fighting these beasts with melee weapons will be challenging.

    The Boss: Silver Eagle
The largest predator in the Aviary and former personal mount of Gwyn himself, the Silver Eagle defends his habitat with wings powerful enough to create gusts of wind to blow you off cliffs, and of course massive silver talons powerful enough to cut through a knights armor like a can opener. The fight takes place on a raised plateau with a tower in the center. Trying to fight the eagle on the open plateau will be suicide, your only hope is to climb the tower.

This fight can have two outcomes, the first and most obvious is that you kill the eagle and retrieve it's soul, which can be used to create the Talon Sword a silver curved sword that ignores armor (not poise).

The second is breaking the chains at the top of the tower and destroying the canopy of the aviary, releasing all of the birds, the eagle will depart but not before leaving you one of it's feather...for what purpose...who can say?

    Alright here goes round 2:

    Undead Sea Port

    Description:

First of all, this will be all at night time. The undead dock in the beginning is a regular looking section docks. It is a long boardwalk stretching a long distance across the coast. Behind the player is a large cliff that also stretches across the coast. In the distance, the player sees a massive bridge extending from the cliff into the ocean. At the end of the bridge the player sees a large ship.

A few of the small boats on the docs in the beginning have items on them, but if the player tries to receive some of them they will be surrounded by regular hollows who are hanging onto the edge of the boats.

As the player progresses along the docks, the ship in the distance will fire large crossbow bolts at him, so he will have to keep moving or he will be hit by a bolt which would be 4 times as powerful as a silver knight arrow.

Eventually, he will reach a point as far as he can go on no further because it is blocked by too much rubble to get through. There will be a torches which light up an otherwise hidden stairway that climbs up the face of the cliff. He will climb the cliff the entire length that he had walked in the first place multiple times back and forth until he reaches the bridge.

There is a bonfire at the very beginning of the bridge, and an elevator next to it for going back down to the bottom of the docks.

While on the bridge, he will be able to see that far off in the distance there are other similar bridges that are lit up so that he can see them in the night.

When he gets to the bridge, he can either go forward, or go back. In the back, there are two doors. One leads to a cave area which is very difficult and meant for higher levels.

If he goes forward, there will be many different crates stacked up on the bridge which make it where he can not see the end. He will have to maneuver himself through the luggage, and fight enemies around every corner until he eventually reaches the giant ship. He will descend a small flight of stairs to reach the ships deck.

On top of the ship deck is another bonfire, and a perfect place for PVP honor duels if you choose not to kill the boss.

On the ship, he will be able to kill the creatures who were firing the bolts at the dock, and then work his way to storage where the boss is.

After you kill the boss of the area there is another bonfire.

    Lore:

The dock at the bottom is just a regular dock. Nothing that special about it. It used to be meant for fishing, but has sense been overran by the undead who now lurk the piers.

The ship there is one of Gwyn's mighty fleet which was originally intended to be sent out to fight the dragons, but it was never called to battle, so it sits there waiting. Its captain has become hollow, and the crew soon followed. in the storage, lies a secret weapon intended to be used agaisnt the dragon. Now it rots there waiting for its next victim, or to be put out of its misery.

    Enemies:

On the docks in the beginning, the enemies the player faces are regular hollowed warriors, but they are called undead sailors, and dressed slightly differently with cutlasses instead of the swords used in the lordran undead.

On the stairs carved into the cliff, there are few enemies save 2 torch wielding hollows. Shouldn't be a problem

On the Bridge, there are regular undead warriors, also with curved swords, and large troll-like creatures which are used for loading crates. They are like the ones in blight-town, but not poisonous. They will be holding crates and will throw them at him before attacking.

On the ship, the crew of the ship are not in fact human anymore. They have mutated into fish-men. Instead of cutlasses, they wield sabers that were once fancily decorated, but are now covered in kelp and other strange sea life, and do poison damage.

In the ship, when the player reaches the captains quarters, he will fight the captain (duh). The captain is a normal human looking person, and is still dressed very nicely and his strait saber is still shiny. (not kelp). His head on the other hand is completely that of an octopus. He attacks very quickly and viciously, with both thrusting attacks and slashes, and he squirts ink at the player which obstruct the players vision and do a small amount of toxin. He a non-respawning enemy.

    Boss:

The boss is titled "Abomination" It is a monster about the size of a small car. It crawls around on four legs which would be described as either spider or crab legs. But is is covered in hundreds of octopus tentacles. It will sometimes pounce to where the player is and try to eat him with its mouth on the underside. It can also whip at the player with its tentacles doing massive damage, or throw lightning bolts.

Originally, it would have been able to jump miles high and kill many dragons, but now it can only go as high as the ceiling.

Lower Anor Londo - Gardens (in the past)

    Description

Noonish time, the skies are lightly clouded and the sun shines brightly. This zone would've been in the lower parts of Anor Londo, where large, elegant, royal gardens existed for the higher society of Anor Londo. Semi-labirynth type of area, with statues of past warriors and kings alike, obelisks with old saying, stone benches, archways, and the like. All in cement. There would be pathways so that you wouldn't have to walk on grass.

The first section would be an enormous, wide gate that would require some lever work to open. The initial part of the gardens isn't entirely elegant but merely neat, more grassy and devoid of objects.

As the player progressed, the skies would get a more orange tone, suggesting the passage of time to the afternoon. The garden would get more elegant and more meaningful statues would appear, with more intricate pathways appearing and the difficulty in enemies arising. A twisted vibe would be felt as the player got further in.

    Enemies

This area would be populated with dogs (not the undead kind) and a few armored boars near the entrance and in noon time. Later on, Silver Knights standing as guards would appear in afternoon time, and a couple of noble warriors patrolling around the gardens. These warriors would be healthy, highly skilled and highly damaging compared to the SKs. I imagine one with a large weapon and greatshield, one with an extra large weapon, and another dual wielding quicker weapons. All dressed differently to give the impression that they were different warriors who had achieved nobility.

    Boss

As you would get to the end of the garden, there would seemingly be nothing to further to explore. However, upon turning the last corner, a cut-scene would start.

A large circular area with, a decent view to the horizon, would present itself. Artorias and Ciaran would be in each other's embrace on a quiet, solitary stone bench. Upon realizing that someone is observing them Artorias gets up immeditely in fury and starts staring at the player. Not long after he starts running towards the player and Ciaran joins him in the fight.

This fight would have a similar effect to that of S&O, in that upon killing one of them, the other would get into a love vengeance and be quicker and more damaging. Artorias would have his normal sword (Sif's current) and would have a medium swing speed. Ciaran would look similar to how we know her, but more elegant and with more confidence. She would also be a litlte quicker and stronger than that of its current state.

Upon beating them, there would be a slightly different cutscene depending on who died first.

    Ciaran last: Artorias... my knight...

Artorias: I will... avenge you... my love.

ps. not as eloquent as yours I don't think, and a bit on the lame side. But, I'm a sucker for love stories.

I love the royal gardens idea, creaky wrought iron gates and crumbling brickwork would be really cool, quite sinister that they were once perfectly tended botanical gardens, and now their obvious state of disrepair reflects the chaos in the world. . . id see it as having the same mystique as darkroot, misty, subtle hues of colour, very slightly psychedelic, but dark psychedelia, maybe because of the spores given off by some of the plantlife. . .?

It could culminate in a giant antiquated botanical glass house, overrun with decayed fauna and flora. dragonflies (think ds mosquitos), earwigs . . .

    Labyrinth of Souls

    DESCRIPTION:

A small stone doorway, overgrown with centuries of vegetation, hidden deep within a moonlit forest. Inside are narrow corridors, so narrow that only one man can pass through at a time. The first corridor splits into an intersection, and from there the player finds himself in a dark labyrinth. There is no roof but the stone walls are too high to climbed, and the only ambient light is from the moon. When clouds pass between the moon it becomes pitch black. The player will never see any walls shift, but when he tries to backtrack he may find that things are not as they seemed before. That is because the Labyrinth of Souls is ever changing, and will never be the same twice.

LORE: Hollowed souls become lost in the Labyrinth on their way to Lordran. Only those with eternal patience will find their way.

ENEMIES: Various phantoms can be found wandering the halls of the Labyrinth. Some are friendly and may ask for directions, while others are mad and will attack. There are many sparkly twinkly lizards, but be wary of giving chase, they may lead you into a trap floor, where you will be forced to confront the Labyrinth Master, which is a mini-boss of the level. The Master is a giant Minotaur who uses two chains as whips. He dashes extremely fast and his whip attacks are powerful and come from a multitude of angles. Figuring out which way to dodge them will be a challenge, and only the most powerful shields will be able to deflect their great weight.

BOSS: When the player is lucky enough to finally emerge from the Labyrinth, he will find himself again in a moonlit forest. At first it seems he is home free, but as begins to wander forward he will hear dry leaves crunch beneath his feet, and then a loud swoosh of giant wings. A gigantic owl with no eyes will swoop down and attack with claws and then return to the blackness. The player will have draw the owl out by stepping onto dry leaves on the floor to get a chance to attack the beast, but it will seem impossible. The key will be to take a suicide hit at it while it swoops down with a fire weapon, only fire will bring it to the ground. Of course, being DKS, nobody is going to tell you or even hint at this. Once grounded, the bird will attack with frantic wing beats, claws, and beak attacks, something akin to the Sanctuary Guardian fight in AotA.
This is actually an optional boss, because if you can sneak through without making noise the owl won't attack.
