Usually when you leave a covenant, all perks that you got from that covenant go away. For example, if you are in the Sunlight covenant and ubtain the Sunlight Spear miracle, once you leave that covenant, you will not be able to use that spell anymore.
So most likely, you will lose the power of your dragon roar, as well as the ability to use the dragon eye.

Yeop. EliteBiker is correct. You will lose your covenant rank, and your power... But not your Dragon body stone...

The nerf to the roar, (which was completely unnecessary), makes being +3 in the covenant absolutely essential.
Hell, even at +3 you still can't break the guard of most shields anymore.

You'll go down a rank, but you'll still be able to turn into a dragon. You just can't use the dragon eye thing to invade.

....exactly, and at zero rank the buff is greatly lessened, and the roar is virtually useless.
