The Deprived - For fun!

Here's my deprived build I'm gonna start making. I tried to utilize the fact that the class starts with a high number of every stat. The idea I'm going with is to use the spells along with the club and plank shield to create a solid setup. The plank shield is actually quite large for its size and weight, and therefore great for strong magic shield(which will also have the effect of lingering dragoncrest on its side). I'd like to keep the original look of the deprived, and I figure around SL100 will be a good cap. Should I put the last few points into vit, end, or maybe a 5th attunement slot for a second SMS?

I'd do this personally. I think it would be hilarious to switch to a BIGGER club because I'm losing.

Hollow soldier waistcloth would probably be acceptable.

A somewhat related question to the deprived character...Is that character any good to start the game with? I've been curious to use him but wasn't sure if he/she was any good as a starting class. Does anybody ever use the character for a decent build(aside from OP's character)

I personally think it's horrid.

That's just me though.

It's a silly class. I don't think it would be much more difficult than most other classes, starting off, but you'll need to be picking up better gear from everything as soon as you can.
As for builds, you could try an Artorias build with some variety of magic, but almost every class can match the build at the same soul level.
