The Iron Core Golem can fall to his death, if he is close enough to the edge and facing it with his back. You only need to hit him until he falls backwards onto his @ss.

(Also, it's not 'Iron Core Golem', it's 'Iron Golem'. His core is made from the bone of an everlasting dragon, not iron)

The crystal straight sword crystallizes the char's hand, doesn't matter what armor you are wearing.Actually it engulfes your hand up to the wrist.
