That's the cost of being human.
It balances itself out.
In exchange for being able to summon people to help you, people are also able to invade you to kill you. It's a toss-up. Having one but not the other is stupid and ruins a major point in Dark Souls. It would take a completely necessary feature out of the game.
Invaders can choose when they want to leave. That's all we have, and that's all we need.

We have the play offline option which is hollowing. Invaders should have the right to leave the host world when they choose, not with a time limit. The idea you have is too abusive for a host and will mess how PvP in the game works by simply avoiding the invader.

I actually like the idea. I'd like to see banish brought back from Demon's Souls.
Make it have an animation like the Darkhand grab attack, if you land it, they get sent back.
I'd use it while questing all the time.

Banish would be ok if casting it was faster. Also, with banish, the invader had to be within range and host had to hide cause banish looked like WoG cast. I hate being invaded but it happens. If you don't want invaders, play hollow or offline. To me the souls series isn't about getting thru the story, it's a survival game cause you never know wut will happen next.

Some do hate to be invaded, but it serves as a penalty when you are in human form. If you wish to throw the invader out, your only option should be through the boss room.

I don't think so. If you wat to get summons (which makes pve easy as hell), you gotta have the yang to balance it out- invaders try and do that (even then it's still a friggin 2 on 1 minimum lol)

I agree with the comments above that say that Dark Souls is a survival game, so it seems illogical to be able to boot invaders. At the same time, my perspective has been sort of changed since I created an SL25 Darkwraith to invade in Darkroot Garden. About 30% of my invasions are against a host who is within 10 SL of me (the rest are against SL100-200) and I just feel bad when I invade these low-level players. They clearly do not want to fight an invader. They've only restored their humanity to summon help for the Moonlight Butterfly. When they meet me, I usually Black Crystal out, but I'm sure that other invaders are not as nice. In that case, I think that a means of booting invaders might not be a bad thing. So, "Maybe".
