Re: The God of War
Ok guys, Gol has give me proof that the God of War did not wield the Dragonslayer Spear, but some kind of Halberd. You can compare the Sunlight Altar with a Dragonslayer Spear and see. Also I've noticed that the thingy before the blade is somewhat similar to the one the knight wields in the US boxart.

Look at the Search for Lore... it might help with your little search.

Re: The God of War
That was a very interesting read Acidic. I appreciate that you have tied Blacksmith properties with the God of War. I think it was his job to develop the arms for war after all. Also I noticed that the Zweinhander looks a lot like the Halberd of the Sunlight Altar statue. Seigmeyer wields a Lightning Zweinhander....

The statue wields a Dragonslayer Spear. 100% sure.

Andre is a name whose root meaning I am quite familiar with and means "strong" or "manly"

He looks like Gwyn too, at least the beard.

He also seems like he's covered in scars that look similar to the Artorias door

Yeah I noticed the scars too. Seems like he's battleworn. Another clue that he can be the God of War turned into a man.

Re: The God of War
Has anyone looked at the statue's face to compare it to other characters yet? I think it might be a "jinkies" moment for many

I'd put him at about Gwyn Size from what I could see.

Another clue, he's the only 'human' that is that big.

Tolvo....great pic of Andre, it was difficult to get a clear shot directly on. I say trim the beard a bit and we have a model for a statue.

Do these two look alike? I'll admit I don't have the best eyes in the world, so the opinion of others might be helpful.

Re: The God of War
They look NOTHING alike Tolvo. Can't you see that Gwyn's mustache is trimmed to head vertically down to the beard while Andrei's mustache is allowed to grow outward more? Lol.....or.....they look a LOT alike. I'd have to go on a pilgrimage to confirm this (although not far for one) but aren't the embers for the divine/occult paths all held near a stone/petrified blacksmith? Do they all look like Andrei? What's the significance there I wonder?

Re: The God of War
Although I must say, we should not simply believe this is evidence alone. I have short brown hair and a beard, but I'm not related to Zach Galifinafkasasfkaskakskinafkas, or however his last name is spelled.

Re: The God of War
Lol....certainly not proof. I prefer saying it "corroborates" other evidence but you're right in that it doesn't confirm anything. For all we know he could be an aged Yukon Cornelius (the mustache fits anyway) who traded the pickax for a hammer after finally giving up on Siiiiiiilveer......and.......gooooollllldd and realized the value of cold hard steel baby! Also, you spelled it right. I might have to check out the Gwyn statue again tonight to compare the statue features to your pics above and the God of War Statue features. Could add some corroborating evidence.

I must say the eyes of the statue look a lot more like Gwyn's, while Andre's eyes are exceptionally wide.

Re: The God of War
How's about you get a screen shot of Cinder gwyn's face too Tolvo?
think that would help a lot, seeing as there's such drastic difference between cutscene and in game graphics in many instances

Re: The God of War
I am on NG+, you want me to run around in circles with a ring slot devoted to hawk ring and try and get glimpses of Gwyn's face with Nocs while using an Ipod camera to try and capture him?
....
Well I think I've gone hollow, I tried it. Here's the results, there were over forty images taken, these are the best of them. Note, these are the best. He has a white beard and black face while I'm using an ipod camera, there was probably no hope from the start.
