lol wow. Wish I had your luck. I just fought them today. I dont know what happened but I swear super Ornstein had more hp than normal. I had 2 phantoms, 1 dced before Smough died and I went through 20 +2 flasks keeping myself and the other alive. Then the second phantom died and I killed him on 25%>hp. Worst thing ever.

generally i thik bosses gain hp if you summon a phantom of any sort, npc or real person, but they dont get another boost if you summon a second... i know this works for 4 kings as their hp bar goes down noticealbly less when i've got beatrice than when i go solo, same if i summon just one person... even more noticeable on ng+

I'm working on my Berenike Knight right now, any tips on how to maximise a Iron Tarkus build based mainly on strength, vit, and endurance. Whilst being able to use his greatshield and the greatsword to there max potential.

40 str and Havel's ring. I actually have a Trakus build though I dont use his shield. Max out str if possible, a gfait bit of vit and try to get just under 50% for medium roll. What SL are you aiming for?

I'm aiming for level 60, which makes it tough, since I have to make many compromises that way. What if I get Strength to 34, just enough for the shield,would that work?

I hate to come across as a braggart, but it's not luck. Assuming you have a good shield (I used Havel's), you CAN just keep backpedaling in a circle around the room and just attack Ornstein a few times when he charges.

Assuming you have enough health to survive an attack or two and enough stam to block their attacks, you should be able to take them this way. I proved it by going in and doing the same way on NG++.

@Shkar The first time I tried I think i was using the knights shield still so I couldnt block all their attacks, some went right through. Also that was my very badly made first toon. I did solo them with a different toon though, the lightning spears really helped.

Im gonna have to speak to Jason about distracting one of my knights . Its odd though because my uncle's name is Jason and he's married to a Natalie so I could literally go tell Jason to stop distracting Nat.

Hey I was aiming for a sl 120 character but do I need a lower sl to effectively participate in this covenant? I know I saw a 60-80 range (or something similar) posted but I'm just checking. Or more directly can a sl 120 effectively participate or do I need to aim lower?

There are 2 ranges, 60-80 and 120. So if you want to go to 120 thats fine.
