Hm, Hi ! here in the forum i am Ghiblier(because i really love the Studio Ghibli), but my real name is Vitor, and i am 16 years old, just a little student. I'm from a really cold city of Brazil, Porto Alegre (Happy Bay, yeah it's a stupid name for a city). I was wondering around the forum since a week and a half or so ... anyway i decided to join you guys on the discussion about this awesome game. I am playing Dark Souls since the last October, but this **** made me so angry that i stopped playing it and just started again five months later.

Welcome Ghiblier! if you ever need any help you can go to the player trade/help section. People are really nice around here and I am sure you wouldn't have much of a problem getting a response.

I quite like Porto Alegre as a name, you just have to say it in Portuguese. English dumbs everything down

Well howdy GraveSworn! I'm Malachi, but I go by Sin, short for Sintinerus, or Ram, Short for Ramzax/Ramzickle. As of the writing of this I am a total noob to Dark Souls online play. I've played countless hours of offline play and multiple NG +'s.

I found out about GraveSworn via a post on DemonsSoul forums about gravelording it up in the Depths.

I wanted to apologize for anyone I pissed off playing with them, I healed a few times and was told on skype it made a few upset.

More on my playstyle, I am on ps3 as Sintiners, and I typically am caught with a zwiehander and some heavy armor...and quickly backstabbed and ko'd.

About myself in reality, I am a Nationally Registered EMT-Basic, and I just got accepted into a Paramedic program, so I am stoked about that. I am generally a laid back guy, and fairly easy to get along with.

I look forward to getting to know the community and getting to pvp it up with you all.

Welcome! I hope you stick around, it sounds like you'll be wanting to check out the PvP section of the site, since you are interested in getting more into it. Everyone starts out a bit of a noob, but with practice you'll become better in no time at all. Also it's understandable to not know about some of the taboos of dueling, if you ever have any questions about taboos of the community or site feel free to send me a PM and I'll let you in on what people like and dislike. Also it's really cool to see someone in the medical field, I suppose some duels you will have to skip out on since you'll be saving lives haha. Welcome, and enjoy your stay.

Hello! I'm Hamare online, and Hakim in the real world. I'm studying to become a chemical engineer, and I think guinea pigs are freaking adorable.

I got the xbox Dark Souls on release day, and played like a maniac until my 360 decided to RRoD on me a month later. It was a great excuse to focus on school, but I've been lurking dark souls forums, wikis, and youtube channels non stop. I pre-ordered the PC version, and I cannot wait to get back into the game!

I stayed hollow and mostly offline while playing on xbox, being a complete noob and not understanding 90% of the game mechanics. On PC, I'm really looking forward to Sunbroing (there will be plenty of new PC newbs to help out ) and trying out PVP. Meanwhile, I'll be trying to decide if I want a DEX/INT or DEX/FTH build...

Welcome, that sucks definitely about the Xbox situation, but it's nice to hear you will be getting back in with the PC version. Currently our PC players are a bit few in number, but more and more people seem to be getting it, so I imagine you'll find a lot of people on here to talk with the PC version about. I know we have others who practice it on the forums, even I did back in the day. I was a mean purple belt third degree, nobody messed with me! Provided they were a purple belt second degree and under.

I have a cool YouTube channel that you should all check out. I upload Demon's Souls videos as well as Dark Souls videos as often as I can. I only use a webcam but it does the job lol. I have managed to pull in 300+ subscribers so far and would love more.
I plan on getting the PC version this Friday morning and bring new footage of the new content

I'm oregonav8r, but most of my gaming friends just call me "Ore" for short. Real name's Tyler, so whatever you want to call me is fine, as I'm not picky.

I haven't played Dark Souls for very long, although I have completed it and am in NG+. I was a Metal Gear Online vet, which dominated my gaming time for about 3 1/2 years, until the servers were finally shut down. During that time I rarely played other games, and if I did it wasn't usually for very long. In my search for a good "replacement game" I noticed several of my MGO friends also playing Dark Souls, so I added it to my collection and started playing it around the same time the plug was finally pulled on MGO.

I enjoy the game very much, I still suck at pvp however lately I've been getting a few more wins than I normally do, not sure if I should credit those to luck or I may have actually improved a bit. In any case look forward to chatting with all of you.

I too was very sad when they pulled MGO from service, though I was already annoyed due to a ID issue which prevented me from playing due to how old my Konami account was, it made me very sad. Such a fun game. I hope you enjoy your stay man, and it sounds like you might be interested in the PvP section.

Just bought the PC version on Steam and am going to start all over again! I have god-knows how many hours played on my PS3 but am looking forward to being able to play with friends more regularly. Figured I'd try out this community while I'm at it! I graduated from college last May and commissioned as an officer in the Army and am now killing time until my next training date. DS is a great time killer so here I am.
