Well as I am sure a big % of people know Dragons Dogma is for sale today.
I was wondering what everyones thought`s were on it,if you have picked it up yet and had chance to play?.
After about an hours worth of game play I am finding it very good.
OK it`s not DkS although what I have seen and played feels OK.

    (opinion)

I also thought may be we could share our Pawns and Pic`s here also.
And any tips people have found out or come across?.
I have none at the moment as I have just started the game although I am sure I`ll find some happy

    Thoughts?......

Bioraptor, is this game worth picking up? It looks pretty cool, I've been on the fence about getting it.

A question, how different is creating a character in game, than it is making them in the Demo?

Warriors get a decent shield asap, you need to block.
Having a healing mage that can also buff weapons is probably the best choice.
Be very careful, you only have 1 save file.

Basically you use discipline points to switch classes. You switch to the 2 handed warrior vocation and you can use heavy weps and armour.

But when you have spent points on certain vocation skills (im somewhat familiar with this games mechanics) do you retain those skills even when you switch classes. Im trying to decide on whether to start with a fighter or mage and follow the magic swords man, warrior or go into the mguic archer one.

You retain the skills you just cant use them anymore since you cant wield the weapons (skills are all weapon based). I would however recommend mage. Im a warrior and I die a lot more since I have to be in combat.

    Why?

Also any tips as Im picking the game up today.

Letos and Yvette journeying around a mythical world.

Also are there team members with actual emotions in the game or are all the pawns and followers 2d?

They are pretty 2d the pawns but thats how they're meant to be. They have no real emotion. Im blocking bandit attacks and getting my block broken in one attack as a fighter using the rusty shield. Its very ineffective cause if they have a second attack I cant dodge in time. I'm asssuming better shields can take more hits. I've got Dart and Shana advernturing.

not the base stuff though right or I'll feel like a total wuss.

My philosophy for this game and Moster Hunter (which is extremely similar) is that to kill big monsters you need really big weapons.
