Pop-Up Frampt?

Is there a way to make him pop instantly awake every time? The only weapons that've done it for me are my Occult Rapier and my Occult Great Scythe, but the occult thing could just be a coincidence.

Every time I pass him and he's sleeping I'll whack him with whatever weapon I'm carrying, and so far (since I started paying attention, anyway) those are all that have worked.

He should wake up from any weapon. Pretty sure I've hit him with +15, fire, lightning weps and punched him once.

I know anything will wake him up, but once in a great while he'll pop straight up without going through that obnoxious, "I'm awake, don't treat me like a whatever whatever," animation. And I mean pop straight up, it's almost like the in-between frames are missing. I can't remember if he says anything when it happens that way.

Anyone know if it's possible to make him do that every time?

I could wake him up with every weapon but not punching him.
Once he woke up without saying those things, i supposed it was because i did too much damage on him since we can kill him, im not sure

I don't think we can kill him, but we can piss him off. But yeah, that's what I'm talking about, when he pops right up.

Don't happen to remember if you hit him with an occult weapon, do you?

i dont think i hit him with an occult, but every weapon i tried, he woke up

Same here. Also, the awkward moment when you realize you just unleashed a combo on top of his head and you sit there for a while, in total silence, hoping he doesn't go away.
