Oh ****, I'm getting bored of DkS.

greatswords are the best!!! hammers make everything so easy specially because of the ko's. bow guns are so fun to use, i love the crab bow guns(the orange one) havent played it in over a year sice my psp broke but im getting a vita for xmasso im gonna get back on it. i have over a thou hours in unite alone.

i still qualify as amonster hunter newb, but so far hammers and long sword have been fun, with lances after that, i wanted to be a bow user but i couldn't figure out the aiming mechanism...

bows are the best to fight fatalis but you are gonna need a full squaed to bring it down in one ortwo rounds. i got all the "best" weapons in all the categories but its really up to what you like.

I took a bit of a break to 100% MGS3(done!) and am working on 100% for demons souls. I am honestly pretty bored myself, i doubt i will play much until DLC is out. Maybe once a week or something. Ive been trying to think of the next game i will play. Is anyone else looking forward to the south park rpg as much as i am?

There's nothing that's ever fired me up for a game more (as an adult) than that masterpiece of a promo.

What keeps DkS fresh for me is coop. There are still a lot of new players working on their first playthrough (at least 1 out of every 5-6 summons for me), and keeping them alive is a real challenge particularly with all the glitchers and griefers out there. Plus you get to relive your early experiences through their eyes as they try to figure out how to tackle a new monster, or see them freak out with happiness when they get a rare item thanks to your help. It's great.

Or BF3, or Skyrim.

Low level vading in the Cats fixes it for me. Sometimes you need variety in the type of invasions you're doing, not the builds you're using.

Or just go old school FF games!?

Old school ff games are fun for those who enjoy them (myself included) but I suspect that is a moderately small bracket sadly.

I would third the monster hunter suggestions man! I played that game SO much and I never felt like top dog compared to the bigger monsters... which is exactly what I want xD

What does it for me is playing Uncharted. Fixes it in about a week and then I'm back to co-op on dark souls

I'm in the same boat as wyrm... I figured creating another new build would do the trick, but sadly it did not.

So I started something completely different: L.A. Noire!

Fantastic game so far. The open world mechanic is pretty "meh", but the story and the interrogations are great!

I took the advice of a friend, though: don't try to play it "perfectly" all the way through... Treat it like a real RPG, and if you fail a particular segment, keep going and see how your investigative style evolves.

I think im going to start playing Catherine, i laugh when people talk about how difficult dark souls and demons souls are. Catherine is hard as hell on normal difficulty, i could barely get to the 4th night. That game seemed to have potential, but Dark Souls was released.

Catherine is a great change of pace. Get that out of your system, get some lulz, and come back refreshed for DkS.

I have Catherine lol.

They should have made it NC-17 and hired Urushihara Satoshi to do all the "anime" scenes.

Lol im more interested in the awesome puzzle platforming. My only problem was the controls were not perfect, but it could very well just be me needing to spend more time with them.

I also thought Reckoning sucked. I kept waiting for that moment when the story/quests/etc all came together and i'd start giving a **** about playing the game. That never happened.
