I killed a pure pyro...

With a CSS!!! My build has 10 Dex only, while he must have had 45 Dex. The CSS was shot after he began casting the fireball, meaning I had time to react and say: "hey he's casting fireball, let me shot a CSS to his face!". This means the spells were not cast simultaneously, he didn't had time to dodge CSS. This is proof that CSS don't need high Dex, as it's really fast! (well not sooo fast, but it works). Sorcery>pyro btw.

i've had fool deaths like this, and always get mad because of how stupid it was :c

hah I've killed dwgr roll for life'rs with css. that spell is boss mode. and yeah it doesn't REALLY need dex but it doesn't hurt the spell any.

sorcery in this game is pure counters and punishes with room to play for mind games. they're great in the right hands.

ps, practice unlocked css if you want to see a dwgr user **** themselves during a roll in or predictable dodge.
I have no evidence, but near miss css and lightning spears seem to hit way too often. its like the projectile is a disguised boulder beeing thrown.

Here's the chain of command in my eyes Miracles > Sorcery > Pyromancy

But Pyromancy has a big advantage over Miracles and Sorcery. It doesn't require stat points!

that's why when i see a CSS caster with my dual pyro i roll forwards and great combustion c:

during their cast? that's kind of risky the css can hit ucomming out of the roll. it'll usually stagger u, too and is easy enouht to pull off, just unlock and point at the end of your roll.

well, not roll to the sides but in the caster direction
if you time the spell cast you can roll exactly when its passing through you and yet avoid it if the caster unlock you and cast anywhere else
its something that can happen to pyromancers either, but a good caster casts where the other player will prob go, just throw a GCFB where youre casting and you'll damage who's attempting to meele you

That is because fireball type pyromancy shouldn't be used head on when you are in PVP they are better implemented after you opponent is on the ground whether from a backstab or a knockdown from a weapon like a ZweiHander. Besides Fireballs aren't practical for pvp Firesurge, Combustion, Power Within or Fire Tempest are better picks for PVP.

Sorcery wins when the Pyromancer isn't paying attention. Pyromancy wins even if the sorceror is looking and in my experience combustion is faster than any soul arrow.

@ARSP Every pyro build I see has fireballs in their arsenal, and some fighters are pretty good with their spell cancels and unlocking and they actually hit with them. Full pyros are very hard to master I must agree.

You all suck. Melee weapons > Magic.

Weapon Buffs + Weapon > Weapon

Fists > Weapon Buffs + Weapon > Weapon

Whip > Fist > Weapon Buff + Weapon > Weapon

The fists of manliness cannot be beaten by the whip.

I was gonna say something along the lines of melee is king. I hate magic, but I am extremely well versed in it too.

I would honestly prefer there to be no buffs at all lol. Then my fights would last longer cause then I couldn't do 2k back stabs lol.

Pyro+Weapon Expertise+Buff+Maxed Weapon> just about anything else

MANLY FISTS OF JUSTICE > Pyro+Weapon Expertise+Buff+Maxed Weapon> just about anything else

All that means is CSS is faster then Fireball. I prefer pyro, especially since i like to fast roll and it doesnt req much stat investment. I think faith/pyro/int are pretty even to be honest.
